I just got the “I’m supposed to have something for you today but I can’t find it on my truck” line from the UPS driver.

I would have had mine Monday but got a similar run around. There was someone at my house the whole day but UPS never showed, but they said no one was home and left it at a pickup center.

No hitch yet .... but will get one in the future.

Love the looks of the pre- TRI-5's, there were some amazing curves on those beauties. Even the trucks were sexy! Oh and, V8's all day, that's where the fun is!

That's the Bay Area, south of SF - and thank you. Laughed at your post as I wish I had more time to live the dream Yes, that's a 65 289. Got married in that car in a drive-through in Vegas, 21 years ago. That means it's a keeper

Yep, I finally got them.

I then worked a couple 13 hour shifts so I haven’t had much time for use or pictures.

I will say that this knife is a slow burn. At first glance it’s easy to pass over, then it just smolders into your brain.

Once I had them in hand they did the same thing. I went “meh” then the more I handled them, the more I noticed things that I like. This knife actually reminds me of my old crinkle coat basic 7 - a great chore knife for sure.

I still don’t have good pics and haven’t wiped the smuts off, but here’s my two along with a couple other favorites:

The micarta is more yellow than my other recent tan micarta knives. I spent a brief moment to decide whether the difference bothered me and ultimately decided it didn’t. This knife is pretty sweet.

My fellow satin loving brother! I was starting to feel like I was the only one since most pics I ever see is stonewashed finish on everything if the blades aren't coated.

I feel you on the natural micarta as it's a bit strange how it seems to vary all over the map in coloration even amongst the same brand like your image shows..... unless your AFBM and TGULB are oiled and/or buffed whereas the SJTAC 7s are not? Maybe that's the reason they look different?
