Busse Combat Is Proud To Introduce The Satin Jack TAC 7!!!. . . . Coming Sunday, January 8, 2023 at 9PM Eastern

Is there any chance we could get a better side profile shot of it. The Axe Hammer LE was about my 3rd or 4th ever Busse and I've always loved it. I'd have loved a wider scales on them to fill out my grip a bit like a magnum option and I'd love it even more on this longer blade.
I'm definitely on the fence and tipping over 🫣

I think what my friend David is trying to say here is....

Please send butt pics.... 😆😆

I agree. I think they ditched double cut for stonewashed, which isn’t necessarily a bad trade.
Agreed.. I love the stonewash. The DC still looked better to my eyes. I would've bought more in it had I known it would seemingly vanish. Oh well. Secondary market is always a thing I guess.

So i'm still fairly new here, will this be a limited offering or part of the online store?

Also how would the satin finish hold up if being use for Buschcraft duties?

It will be limited during the original release, sale will probably be open for atleast 2-3 days on the busse website. I recommend signing up for the busse newsletter. They announce new knives and the last calls for ordering on the new releases

It may make its way on the busse site after the initial release but i wouldn't count on it

And welcome!

The satin will hold up fine. You'll eventually get little scratches and nicks on the surface over time, as you would any other steel. It will get a great character :)

It will obviously wear significantly and show significant scratches. If you like the look of scratched satin then you'll love it but if you're not into this look then stonewashed will hide the scratches much better and be less reflective at the same time. It has quickly become my favorite finish for these reasons. The other thing that you get with stonewashed is the finish is applied with the handles attached (for G-10 or micarta handled knives) so it will soften the hard corners on the machining of the handles which in theory will get rid of potential hotspots in use. Busse G-10 has tended to have little in the way of really hard corners over the last few years, so it's not critical but it is something worth noting regardless.
