Busse Combat Is Proud To Introduce The Satin Jack TAC 7!!!. . . . Coming Sunday, January 8, 2023 at 9PM Eastern

Stonewashed green and black g10 ordered to match my afbm which I really liked how that combo turned out. Saw a tgulb that was muddy with black g10 and liked that combo so giving it a shot here. These are going to be great all arounders

I think this is going to be a great model. Have a few coming this time. Looking forward to trying some different combinations.

... and now the wait

It will obviously wear significantly and show significant scratches. If you like the look of scratched satin then you'll love it but if you're not into this look then stonewashed will hide the scratches much better and be less reflective at the same time. It has quickly become my favorite finish for these reasons. The other thing that you get with stonewashed is the finish is applied with the handles attached (for G-10 or micarta handled knives) so it will soften the hard corners on the machining of the handles which in theory will get rid of potential hotspots in use. Busse G-10 has tended to have little in the way of really hard corners over the last few years, so it's not critical but it is something worth noting regardless.
Yes thats a good point for the stonewash finish. Thanks

Well I am in for a stone washed and tan SJtac. I try to only get one knife a year nowadays . I couldn't pass on this one. I'm not sure how I am going to make it through the year now . Four years ago I was probably getting eight or more.

Ordered. Black and Stonewashed. Will fit right into the family, i.e., 6" SJTAC, Flak Jack, DSJ, Axe Hammer and Jack Hammer .... All similar but all so different :)

Closest we got to testing videos 😆

I can certainly appreciate that they post these types of videos at times but they mean almost nothing in the grand scheme of things to me personally. Unless there are measurements being taken of the overall geometry of the knives in real time prior to the testing (like the recent Nathan the Machinist video posted here) then the ultimate takeaway means little. It's very easy to overbuild a knife and test in such a way as to make almost any knife appear very durable. Without these sorts of metrics being discussed I would put those types of videos in the entertainment category.

Love the old sjtac and batac, the grip fits my hand in multiple positions. I like a thicker handles more than the old flat slabs, but not the squared off ones, they need to be rounded. The one big difference I note is the blade design . The original had a good point on it for penetration , while this one almost looks like a smaller ash2 blade . I really liked the jack hammer 10 , and hoped they would have offered a 6.5” version of that as it felt perfect . Getting a black g10 on stonewashed and a black canvas on green blade for field use . Looking forward to these

So by some miracle I've avoided the impulsiveness to buy right on the drop and have given this some further thought.....

How is INFI in a knife this size?

I already have CPM-4V, SR-101, and D3V in knives this size and INFI in my larger chopper (AFBM) where is seems best suited for. Is INFI giving me anything I don't already have in knives this size?

I'm sure most of you are similar in knives you own, so what is everyone's reasons for buying this? Probably just for the fun of having it I imagine. I mean, I get it, variety is the spice of life and this model looks awesome, don't really need a good reason, just do it because it's fun and you enjoy it.

I'm just struggling with the whole "be a responsible adult" thing which is getting in the way of having fun. Mainly because I was, well...... highly irresponsible most of last year! Lol
