Busse Combat Office Is Closed Due To Bad Weather

but hell I like the snow and winter weather (no ice). We do not get it much down here but it is nice when we do. Wrap up warm, get a BIG mug full of coffee and Baileys and go for a hike. One of the few time when it is really quite outside, no cars/trucks and in general most people are in a good mood. Sure we do not have the equipment to handle snow so everyone has to stay home for a few days. Beats the mess out of being at work. You would be bored with the weather if it was sunny and 80 every day.
 
Recent snow flurries, A little extra weight in the bed really helps with traction.

Yeah, a kid will do that to you if you let it. I wasn't fast when I did ride much, but now I am fatter and way slower. :grumpy:

My neighbor used to race in Colorado 15 - 20 years ago, and now he's ~ 55, with two teen-agers, but he has always stayed lean and fast. He still rides near every day, even through the snow.

EDIT: Darn, Tony! How can you live without winter?? (Wait...I remember...I grew up in the central valley...a distant, FOGGY memory)

We ride year around on the front range, I usually put on an extra 5k during the "off season". Our last scheduled "oh-fee-shall" run of the year is Dec 31 (Last Brass Monkey Run), our first of the year is on Jan 1. The weather here is a secret.

This season is the longest down time I've had ... ever ! Just can't let the bike sit in the shed can I :rolleyes:

Ahhh, the bachelor's life... There's some leftover pizza somewhere in the fridge, some cold coffee and a red bull... which would go nicely with some Vodka from the bottle of Grey Goose in the freezer... LOL Yeah I like mixxing sxxt. LOL ...think I'll get through? :D
 
Jesus H. Christ!! I drove all the way across the OH Tpk and to Carlisle,PA!! And you can't make it to work?? Lightweights!!! :D Sounds like a good excuse for a day off! :thumbup:

IF you are heading EAST, beware of ICE... SNOW should NOT be much of a prob for you, just a few inches, but now we are getting some freezing rain too. Be safe!!
