Busse folder patents

What information are your basing your comments on other than "They Suck"?

Now dont get me wrong I like from locks but I have had a couple of framelocks fail and never had a Axis Lock fail, other than being one of the best and toughest locks in a manual knife, but I'll have to agree with you they suck! :D

Hmmmmnnnnn....almost all of the heavy duty\military folders, seem to be framelock. I got nothing against axis lock folders, besides the fact that they suck:D

My Resistor(heavy duty knife) is AXIS lock, and it does NOT suck! Hack, stab, and pry away with it, and your fingers will be PERFECTLY safe.
The only VALID complaint I've ever heard is the fear of disengaging the lock using certain grips; I don't use those grips, so no big whoop, but if it bugs YOU, it's nothing a date with a dremel won't fix(recess the AXIS studs below the scales:)).
The Omega springs on mine are absolutely fine too; ANY machine part can be defective or worn out, but the Omega springs are not more prone to do so.
Frame locks are cool too, though.

Easy does it.
If this happens, Busse Folder, there will be too many broken ones. Jerry has to know that.
Just got a Beretta/ Warren Thomas, Avenger 2. I'm all set! ;)

Gerber\Stabman...it's only my opinion and you know what they say....opinions are like A-holes, everyone has one and they all stink! :p

That being said..I've owned axis locks...got rid of them. They just do not feel "solid"...again, my opinion only. NEVER had a framelock fail myself, but I'd like to see the results from those

I've never had a frame lock fail on me either, but I've avoided the cheap ones.
Some AXIS designs are better than others as well; the Resistor is my favourite so far. If you try one of them and STILL don't like the AXIS lock, then it truly is not the lock for you. BUT, I have a feeling you might like the Resistor.:)

almost all the axis type locks are either patented or require more intricate machining procedures to do well.

and even if they suck, jerry seems to think the spring loaded locking bar type locks are a good idea

I don't care what type of lock it is (though it's gonna be the above mentioned spring loaded bar as per the patent designs) as long as it's rock solid and attempts to simulate fixed blade strength.

I'll see if I can check one out...I'll try anything once...twice if it's tastes good:D

Or maybe that's the axis lock Jerry is releasing on his folder next week??!!:cool:

I got the pics to work, they are the ones we saw the last time. Only one of the drawings looks familiar though. The talon hole is in the slabs and not the blade. I wish Jerry would get one of these made on a production level. Of course he knows if he does we might very well never have to buy another knife. :D

If the talon hole is in the handle, how could the blade close if you put something through it?

This is becoming disturbingly close to a bash thread, lets think before we type ok? :(

The language is getting a little harsh as well. Again, think, then type.

That might make a good spot for a stop pin to go through, making it impossible for it to fold on you.
Good lock for regular use, addition of stop pin for ridiculous use tasks! Sounds okay to me.:)

for what it's worth I wasn't bashing the cold steel, mearly showing a modern new type of lock meant to be extremely strong. I actually really like the whole idea and presentation of it.
