ha first of how long ive been on this forum has nothing to do with it tho nice attempt to discredit rather than hear me. and i said i dont hear about cutting perfomance or any knife related wen busse kids recomend just that its badass. and no there is no differece in perfomance wen used as a knife. wen u want to destroy ur edge or blade the busse will win but by a percentage that is much smaller than the price diff. if i had a junglas as thick as a nmfbm it would be very hard to break. but again wen used as a big chopping knife there is no difference between the two except preference of handle and preference of feel

The hate, bad spelling and lack of capitalization finally entered the fray.
Too bad, as it was a rather okay thread up to the last couple of pages.:(

no hate, i like all good cutting tools.and my ps3 is a pain to type on as i said before. no hate just facts.

Hey, we're supposed to be nice to new guys now. :D

He's another not enough bang for the buck guy.

Nothing you haven't heard before.

I dont get why thats lol? but i like busse knives just cant say there worth what they ask for. whats laughable is how overpriced ur kool aid is and upset and defensive u guys get when somone says different than what you would like to think.

I'm not hatin' on noone! U R dissn' meh? Heh! It is a good thread and few people have gotten their feelings hurt or acted badly.

So which Busse knives (not 'bussekin") do you reccomend for people who do not have a pile of cash to spend just to try one, who like traditionally shaped and sized knives? Is there a non-chopper, non-thick bladed 3-5" knife with traditional styling? Can it be bought directly from Busse to avoid speculator markup?

i still dont get what my ps3 has to do with busse.but ok. i dont look for bang for the buck knives in particular. but thats alot of money for not much performance increase. thats a fact and im not new to knives just bladeforums. i dont about bang for your buck as much as paying anabsurd amount for a 600+ for a blade with no sheath. and this only busse were talkin scapyards and swamp rat are more fair in ther pricing and less nuclear in there marketing.

If you are interested in a Busse, I recommend trying a Scrap Yard, first. They are the same company, have the same amazing warranty and proven design features, use a great steel (Modified 52-100 called SR-101), and cost about half that of a Busse. They are also more readily available.

If you try them and love them, maybe one day you will feel up to trying out a Busse. They are really nice knives that perform just as well as they say they will.

Many Busses of recent manufacture aren't marked up much, they just tend to hold their value,
and pop up on the exchange pretty frequently.

One great one, IMO, is the SAR 4.
Another, smaller one, is the CABS (Choiless Anorexic Boss Street).

You can easily google images of them.

A lot of Busse fans are generally pretty friendly and helpful too,
if someone knows that you are looking they will often help out if they can.

Travel and lodging adds a few hundred to the price of a one-knife purchase though.

No, I see no reason to buy an "Imperial" to see if I want to buy an "Uncle Henry". Thanks for the suggestion though.

CABS. I'll look them up. Thanks. What is the retail price range for one?

EVO MR vs Lambo

Its easy to say, "why get the Lambo if you can buy an EVO that will keep up with it." The point is if you can afford the Lambo, there are many advantages to having it as opposed to the EVO. Just because the EVO can preform almost as well on the track, doesn't mean it has the luxury, features, and prestige as the Lambo.

If somebody has the money for a Busse, and enjoys it, who cares? If you can't afford it and think you are only getting minor performance increase for the money, than don't buy it. Nobody is holding a gun to your head.

That's true, but it's the closest you'll get to a walk in, neighborhood, Busse store. Besides, a lot of people go there who aren't even buying knives. Lots of fun.
