just a few :D

If I ever have enough money to get that kind of extensive work, my tattoo artist corey will be quite happy...

just think..... i have never spent a dime on a tattoo.....lol.... pays to grow up with one of the best tattoo artist in the usa.

and to all the folks that say that tattoos are for losers and criminals etc..... i have an income tax form that can show otherwise.

ya know Vallytinworks...youre ink doesnt really intimidate me . The fact that you are rigged for at least two hellrazors at any given time ,should give pause to most. tattooed blender.

I had the idea of a Birdsbeak Heart II cutting it`s way out of a chest, kind of cleaving it`s way through the ribcage, with the words "Heart Attack" and the company name done in Banners above and below the pic.

Frozen Bonehead,

About 3 years before you worked here, in 1993, Jennifer had T-shirts made up of the Steel Heart 1 cutting its way out of a a Rib Cage and through the heart with the wording "Nobody Survives. . . . A Heart Attack" above and below the image. . . We sold them out pretty fast at the SOF convention that year. . . . It was a killer image and we actually had a tattoo artist from Toledo draw the pic for us. . . Very Cool ! ! !

Just more proof that too much sushi can make you delusional ! ! ! :D

Jerry :D

.

Wow great ideas guys, I really have wanted a bigger tatoo to wrap around my scrapper dog since its kinda lonley. Now I just got to get the $$ when Jerry and Skunk dont have it.

I have 4 tattoos currently. One done in California, two in Cuba (lived there for a year) and one in Haifa, Israel.

The irony there is palpable. For those of you who don't know, tattoos are strictly, um, non-kosher.

The prohibition of tattooing is found in the Torah: "You shall not make gashes in your flesh for the dead, or incise any marks on yourselves: I am the Lord" (Leviticus 19:28).

Ummmm, do you like skulls???:p. I really like the work you've had done. That Danzig skull on your back is killer. Who's your artist? In the Philly area I suppose.

its actually a SAMHAIN skull... precursor to danzig.... but yeah...lol

and no my guy is now in hollywood......

We should have a contest.

Coolest Busse ink shown for the first time at blade 08 wins something....

Jerry?

JJ'sPS - Kool-aid drinking scumbag :D

I got tat's that are older (> 30 yrs) then some of my fellow forumites , I wonder if I'll regret my decision when I get older :p, older than what ?

You certainly got me beat. My oldest ink is 29 years old this year.

I'm impressed you caught that. :) Very few people understand the significance of acquiring my left pec art in Israel of all places.

The prohibition to tattooing in the old testament is in the context of not scarring yourself to commemerate the dead. I do not believe it is an outright condemnation of getting tattoos. It does however, make shows like Miami Ink seem to be a celebration of old school sinners. Luckily, if I were to describe myself words like "christian" or "jewish" would not make the list of adjectives used to do so... Leviticus 19:28 may persuade a few to avoid tattoos, especially with some of the newer versions of the scriptures making tattoos sound more and more like a sin, but I won't lose any sleep since all my tats are completely selfish and commemorate no one.

If there is a contest at Blade "08 for the best Busse tat, I'd have to participate.

Excellent point. It's all in the context. Not to turn this religous, but people often take bits and pieces of the Bible, and other texts, out of context to make a point. And if I were to describe myself the word Christian would be one of the first, if not the first, word(s) used to do so. And still I see no problem with most tattoos.

So let's keep this thread going. Excellent ideas. I am still leaning towards the HOG outlines w/ a radioactive symbol. Something like MMIAM hs posted here. Simple black and white.

Mrs. Moonwilson has laid down the law with regards to my getting any new ink. Otherwise I'd totally be in. I may be able to help out with some designs after I finish this big drawing I'm working on. I've been wanting to do some Busse designs for a while, just haven't had the time.

But you know I've got mad skillz.

The prevailing opinion in my church is that only tats that honor the dead are prohibited.

There is also an idea though, that people who get lots of tattoos and or piercings are trying in some way to atone for their own sins. It has to do with the idea that all people have at some level the knowledge that they need forgiveness and that a blood offering is the only thing that will do. As Christians we believe that Jesus made that sacrifice by spilling his own blood once, and for all.

I'm not sure I buy into that theory but it's an interesting thought anyway.

hmm...Where did that come from??? Let's see some more tat designs!

I am no artist, and thus, would love to see some simple Busse designs for quick, one session tats. For me, it should include a knife with a talon hole, but what else? I like the wild boar design, but as I've said before, space is now an issue with me. Tats with tribal designs or stuff ripping out of the body aren't my thing either.

So the question is: What is the most classic Busse Knife Design? In other words what Busse Knife silhouette is the ONE? Is it a straight handle, an ergo or a fusion? Is is a steel heart or a battle mistress or something else entirely?
