Bussekin status

I been wondering myself..... All the girls are gone, now the guys are disappearing !! The alpha hog is obvisously eating his own!!! 😱

Things Change.

the market changes. the people change. the business model changes.

Good companies adapt and change to survive and thrive.

Roll with it. All that Busse really owes to their customers is the best products that they can make, backed by the best warranty.

While I understand business models change I hoped to see the continued interaction and support we have enjoyed in the past from all the Busse and kin brands to continue.

Amen Mike!;)

It would be nice if Jerry let us know about the future, if any, of the Yard and Swamp. After all, it's not like we're asking about secret production methods or something.

Well said, and I agree. I wouldn't be surprised to see Swamp Rat and Scrapyard go away, especially given the recent ongoings.

I wonder if some of you would feel that^^^ way if Busse's Bladeforums site disappeared. The Yard and Swamp means as much to the Dogs and Rats as this forum does to the Hogs. I am a fully inducted Dog, Rat, and Hog, and I appreciate having all three forums. All many of us are asking is about the future of the Yard and Swamp, fully aware that things change with businesses. After all, we have come to think of many of the Busse crew as friends, and have spent considerable money with Jerry and Company.;)

It certainly would only take a few seconds to fill us in on what is going on behind the curtain.

At this point I suspect either they can't tell us, don't know what to tell us yet, or aren't going to tell us until they take action (release of new model, brand consolidation, or new hires)

Can anyone access the Scrapyard website? I have tried several times over probably a couple of weeks and have not even been able to pull the page up. It would be one thing if I could look at the website and they have all their models listed as unavailable/discontinued, but to not be able to get on at all? To me, that does not seem like a good sign at worst and very odd at best.

Slight,

Only the Scrapyard discussion forum is up and running right now, the other part of the site is down. Here is the link to access the forums: http://forums.scrapyardknives.com/ubbthreads.php/forum_summary.html

I think everyone realizes Busse Combat is busy from O2W and business models and company’s change with the times. I know in the past from being busy with Blade Shows, Knob Creek Shows, & Trunk Shows, Dan and Jerry still would take time out to communicate with everyone on the forums. What I really liked about Busse and Scrapyard when I first got into their knives were the interaction from the company to keep us informed on any new information, new knives, or any new changes, etc. I really liked how we were treated more like friends and family and not like customers. I think a few folks are just concerned about the future of Scrapyard Knives and hope that same level of interaction will continue after O2W levels out.

YOWZA!!!

I was just made aware of this thread. . . . .

We are here gang!. . . . buried up to the gills in production. . . . but still here and kicking them out.

If the mystery of what is going on gets to be too much for you, just call the shop and ask for me directly. . . . (419) 923-6471 . . . Yep, it's that easy. . .

We are growing in size and are adding and shifting personnel all over the place to accommodate this growth.:D

Our website hosting group was bought by a different company and everything has been upside down since this happened a few months ago!

Dan just finished wrestling with them over major issues with our shopping cart software and we hope to have these other website issues fixed very soon!

Hang in there gang!

Let's Drink!!!

Jerry
:D

Well there ya go :)

Also, on another unrelated note..... my WTF BG has made it to my house safely. Now, I have to suffer through the rest of the day at work........

As to the Boss Hog, no worries.

It is not easy being your own boss. Even harder when you have to run a company and be other people's boss.

I'll pass on calling Jerry and bugging him. I'm not gonna lie, that call would probably end in a prank call, and Jerry would end up cursing "those darned kids!"
