Busses and Glocks

No arguments here. I was just stating my experiences. I love the 1911 and will own one (or more) again. Hell, my pops presently has my EMP, and I'll eventually get it back.

Until I can get into collector mode, I agree with your statement that guns are tools. As such, I've found two that work for me (after some modding).

I fnd knives to be much more appealing in terms of aesthetics and visceral quality (for collecting) than guns. Someday, tho, I will probably get a nice custom 1911 with Ironwood slabs to go with my one-off SFNO.

My buddy GentleBen just bought a Colt Commander he's going to be sending to MARS Armament for a custom overhaul. THAT I want to shoot.

I hope you didn't think I meant you in particular - I was just speaking generally.

I'm all about what fits for an individual, not a group and not about just brand.

Some people get so caught up on "name" that it dictates everything.

One of my favorite carries has been a Sig P220 but it's not the only thing I carry. I've carried various 1911s as well.

Some of my frequent carries are G17, G19, and G26. I've also carried G22, G23, G27 in the past.

I've become a real fan of my G19 within the last year as well.

Here's a link to a thread at USN where there are some good pics of a recently done/tested G19. Check it out if you can, James. If not, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Umm... Did I miss something here? I don't see a link other than the one in your sig line for Boresight solutions.

As a side note I did go to Boresight's website and looked over the XD photos as my wife has one. Nice work. I'll have to show her. I wonder if he does work on Walthers. I have a P99 which a like a lot but the grip is a little slick and which it was grippier like the grips that were on my stainless 96FS.

I will talk to Ben. It will have to wait however as unexpected expense keep eating into my overtime/play money.

Old Old Pic, Wish I still had some of those old E-handles & Basics:)

No I'm not a USN member. Should I be?

If you like BF, you'll love USN. All kinds of great stuff over there, and more interaction with makers. Make sure the email addy you use to sign up is linked to an ISP, and not a free email like gmail, yahoo, hotmail, etc...

They don't accept the free email addresses. I'll have to look up my Comcast address and use that one I guess. I've never used it so this should be fun to find.
