That's postcard stuff right there :thumbsup::thumbsup:
I grabbed a new bottle, 2 actually. Hadn't tried HP12 yet, but also snagged a Glenmorangie 18 Extremely Rare - (I question rare if I found it) at this new honey hole I found of a liquor store. My my my, it's not even fair to the HP12 after cracking open that Glen, wow.... Have to grab a shot, but my deck table is covered in snow and ice so it's out :D

And how many of these are kicking around still?

We were the 8th coldest location on the planet on this past Wednesday. So I had to get some antifreeze in me, ended up putting a good dent in this bottle of Knob Creek. I can’t say I’m going to buy it again though. Far too sweet for me. Might be good on drizzled on ice cream or used to make BBQ sauce of something though.

Kind of like the Don Julio 1942, only with a hint of smoke and half the price. Really good. I think I like it even better than the 1942.

I'd buy more if they had any, but it's a limited edition and there's no telling whether they'll ever have it back in stock locally.

I missed out on the 2019 Lagavulin 12. Never made it to a store near me. Still have plenty of the old stuff.

I splurged for the big game too and enjoyed putting a dent in my bottle of Signet - but tonight I cracked something a little different, Chivas Regal 12 -got to tell ya, for not a lot more than the tax on a bottle of Signet? aint bad! :)

21 year old royal salute used to be pretty good. The bottle is nice too

The bushfires here in Australia have continued to grow and have still been destroying people's houses even in the last week or so. A seven month long fire season so far this year, and it's only half way through Summer. Everything has been brown and dead and dry for months. But today we got heavy rain, the first since the fires started, and the start of up to a week of rain. They're saying it's already put a third of the NSW fires out, and my guess is it will put out most of the rest of them within the week. Not only that but it might be a drought-ender. People will be celebrating tonight!

I had a bottle of Octomore and now is the time to crack it open. Here's to wet green hills and stormy skies !!

Holy heck is this stuff peaty o_O

So how is it?
It's pretty good. You know you're drinking a Talisker. Has the brine, tar, and smoke. The sweetness is there too. I don't find it's as good as the storm or distillers edition but I like it enough to almost be finished a bottle. I would recommend it at the price I paid for it. If it were the same price as the other taliskers I'd probably grab those instead. I'm also a game of thrones fan but I only bought one bottle the first time. After I tasted it I knew I wanted to get a few more. I'll have to do a side by side with it and the storm to really dial in what I like better about the storm. The distillers edition has a stronger flavor I find. Really stands out. Not as sweet more tarry or oaky.
