Button compass

I have had no luck with the Marbles brass compass. In both the ones I had the bubbles got bigger over time until the bubble was so big that it interfered with the dial.Moose from the becker forum bought one at the same time I did and his did the same thing.

I have a couple of Brunton pin-on Ball Compasses (9067)
Very easy to read
I have one on my car key-chain and has held up well, and use it with a book of maps in my car instead of a GPS
A good button compass will hold longer
The other is my emergency kit

Fisher Price Dora The Explorer My Talking Backpack -- with compass!

If she's like my great-nieces she might rather play with that than steal your good compass. :)

the county of comm just got in some nifty looking button compasses.

i'm a slut, so i bought 10. i'll report how they are. a couple will be put in coats, bicycle, motorcyce! bags, and kits. we'll see :)

then to round out shipping costs, i bought, uh, more stuff... those maratac shears are badass. hopefully i get to render a turkey with a pair. plus, uh, lots of other knick-knacks that were cute and cheap. whistles.

just for laughs, and because i have nothing in that "caliber", israeli trauma bandages... plus Extreme Tape

but mostly i came here for the compasses :>
