Why not just go out and by a CNC with your profits? That way, you won't have to trust any of these low life artists with your original designs? A man of your obvious talant would probably be able to learn the programing for a CNC in just a couple of hours....(I don't care what these guys say, but that hole you did for Spyderco is outstanding!)

Well, they say there's no cure. They say that the disease isn't fatal. It only affects the commercial value of the knife in question and maybe any future designs from the infected designer, but it's to early to tell about that.

FWIW, sometime last year I wanted a 4" bladed Vector and contacted Reese, who said it shouldn't be a problem. Just to be sure, I contacted Joel who said no way. In the interim, Reese had also contacted Joel, so in the end everything was above board and no knife got made.
Naturally I'm spewing that someone's ended up with one (or close enough) instead of me.
