buying LE ZT and sell it,,, can this make money? what do you guys think?
anyone will buy this from ebay more than 500 bucks?

500 - 50(ebay fee) - 15(paypal fee) - 400 = 35.

works?

edit:
thanks for all your replies.
I wasn't super clear about my question.
Actually I was talking about 0392 purple version. I saw some people bought it and selling it on ebay. But even with price 435, it's been there for very long time and no one buys it. So i was doubting their strategy.
And I highly suspect anyone will spend 500 dollars on zt 0392 knife.

Your second post here is asking how to take advantage and make money off of the enthusiasts of this forum?

Welcome I guess.

I dont think hes asking about how to take advantage of anything. I believe he is asking why people do this. And that it doesnt make sense. But your interpretation may be different.

The knife is 400$. He is saying that he would only make 35 dollars.
Why the hell would you waste your time and effort for 35 bucks ?

He's not really saying anything clearly at all. And I certainly don't see where he states anything about 400 dollars.

I'm also puzzled by this one. I could understand a little confusion in translation of the words. But then with the confusing math on top of it, I have no idea what the actual purpose of the post is.

I'm definitely not sure what you're getting at........the verbage is confusing and the math simply doesn't add up. If you're asking whether you can buy something here and turn and burn it on Ebay for a profit.....the answer would be yes. If you're asking whether you can buy something cheap on Ebay and flip it for profit here....the answer is again yes. However, if that is your motivation......you'll find this is a lonely forum.......this body is interested in the love and passion of knife use/collecting......not profit.

There is no money in the knife addiction lol! If I break kinda even or only lose $20-$30 on a sale or trade I feel like I've done good and I never pay retail for anything.
This is a passion and an addiction to me, I've been into collecting knives and guns since I was a kid, I have bought, sold and horse traded my entire life.
I got it honest from my dad and papaw, I think I'd have more money if I was a heroin addict than a knife and old gun collector lol!
Don't get into this to make money, get into it because you are passionate about it.
I still have my first knives and my first shotgun my dad ever bought me when I was 5, they are worthless from a monitary sense but I would take a million dollars for them because they are priceless to me.
I learned a long time ago that a person doesn't get joy out of money, joy comes from something that brings you passion. Thats truly when you're happy in life..

Ebay fees and paypal fees, are around 13-14 percent together and eat up anything you might make. Plus you just never know on auction what anything will bring. I've made money on ebay, buying discontinued Spydercos at a low price and keeping them for a long time, but that seems to be over with now. And often if you keep models too long they cool off, because there's so much new stuff released these days, interest wanes.

I was assuming he was talking about yesterday's new zt LE knife which cost 400$.

He may have been talking about the blue bowie, and if he wants to try to make a mere 35 dollars, he may just be able to. As it is who knows whats on someone's mind when they're so vague.

He's not really saying anything clearly at all.
Maybe the op can clarify what hes talking about. Are people crazy for trying to buy and sell knives like houses? Yes. Or does the op want info on how to sell knives for profit? Which is still crazy.

some people jump on newbies too fast. The OP is not asking how much my knife is worth. He is asking whether it is a good idea to buy and sell knives to make some money, which I think is an interesting topic to discuss. It is not like that there is no one on this forum who flips for a profit. On the contrary, I see a few people whose main/sole interest herer is flipping.

To the point, no - I do not feel one can make much money if any by buying and selling knives, esp when you take into consideration PP fees, shipping, insurance etc and the chance of being screwed up by some scammers.

Here is a tip.
If you want to see a little lump sum money from getting into knives, start with a big lump sum and end up like the rest of us...

Knives are for fun, work, collecting. Rarely are they taken strictly as an investment policy.

knives are considered a hobby to me. hobbies cost money and collecting knives is no different. They can cost lots of money and there are much much better investments out there. I would be looking for an alternate investment strategy.

Knives cost money; great knives cost lots of money; this stuff is a great hobby...NOT a business opportunity.
Now, if you're starting your own knife-shop and have lots of start-up capital, then go at it.
I probably have lost approximately 20% of every dollar that I've spent in this hobby, and that's a bunch.
