Holy crap nature's kickin' my azz this evening...

I was about 5mins from home, driving with the windows rolled down, when something clipped my mirror and slammed into my neck. Hard. No kidding, checked my neck for blood. By the time I got home, my neck was starting to swell. Looked like I had a goiter or something. Think I found the remenants of a big-ass bee or something in my back seat. Then, got home, let out the dog from his run and gave him a pat on the back, while I'm still holding onto my neck. Felt something on my hand, looked, and there's a friggin wasp munching on my finger. Now I'm sitting here with an ice pack on my neck and a bandaged up finger. Screw you nature.

Haha!
Being on vacation this last week has afforded me some extra time on the smoker. And cleaning out the freezer is a bonus. I've had that shoulder roast and ribs taking up space for awhile now.
Back to work tomorrow though...:thumbsdown:

I feel for ya. Those family gatherings can be stressful at the best of times.
 
My sister and brother in law live 600 feet away... Father and step mother live 800 feet away... And they have family gatherings like once a month... Normally over 20 people and has been over 80 people... Close and distant relatives, plus friends...

I walk over... Say hi... Drink a beer with them... And then i make up an excuse to leave...


I like living close to family... It's convenient, we help each other out with babysitters, needing rides here and there, work around the properties and such. But most the time i prefer to be alone... Or with just my brother in law Curt, and sometimes my father...

My family is pretty understanding and never really show up unannounced or try and pressure me into staying at their get togethers... Which is good because the more they try the less i want to be around LOL
 
The other day Curt bought one $1 dollar scratch off ticket and at the same time i bought 15, $1 dollar scratchers... A different one than he bought...

Curt won $15 ..... And i won $1 :/

Crazy coincidence...


I want an RTT... But a grand for a tent is a bit steep... Too bad the scratchers screwed me hahaha!!
