Bye bye wood?

Just got off the phone with Angela, it's confirmed that they are discontinuing some wood inlays. She confirmed that they will also be introducing new ones.

It's not sure yet, but she believes it will happen at Blade Show. :)

I figured that was the case. Can't wait to see the new choices.

Good job. I just got off the phone with them and forgot to ask.

I can't wait to find out what they have next. Previous to knives, I had the opportunity to work with exotic hard woods via finish carpentry and interior plantation shutters. I love that I still get to see the same woods used on fine knives. I would enjoy seeing Padauk, Purple Heart, Lace Wood show up on a knife one of these days.

I'm a little surprised they're keeping the box elder after seeing the spalted beech.

I kind of wish I had hung onto my large snakewood with raindrop now...

Oh well, the new choices look quite interesting.

Not that I am busy with my list of the discontinued woods, now I have to make another list of the new woods....
:)

Thuya Burl, Spalted Beech, Macassar Ebony, Bog Oak are the new inlays. The only one of the old being kept is Box Elder. All others are being discontinued. These will be available for the 21 and Mnandi. I do is from my Facebook BST page from a great member and also confirmed on CRK's Instagram page thinktwicecutonce.

Oh how I wish I could now buy several Bocote and some nice cocobolo. Not the biggest fan of box elder though I have 2 of em.

Has CRK released the new woods to dealers? A bog oak just hit eBay, listed by someone identified as a dealer.

The pictures are so dark that the wood looks black. Looking up at Corytr's picture of bog oak at different ages, maybe it is.
