The issues me and Mr. C Ben Susrool had have been solved!
Mr. Susrool refunded me the money of which i am thankful to him!
Also, I would like to ask all the people who have viewed and/or replied to this thread to reconsider their opinion about him. If he landed on your ignore list, please erase him from it.
Maybe it is better that Mr. Susrool only sells CONUS :)
I have learned not to pay F&F anymore with PayPal and also when I want to buy a knife I shall have to inform myself better with the seller.
I want to thank all of you, for your moral support and the gesture that has been made to raise funds!
It shows how beautiful forums can be and the brotherhood we share, regardless where we live or what language we speak....
This being said, I wish you all the very best, including Mr. Susrool.
I hope this thread did not do to much damage to his reputation....everybody deserves chances!

CHEERS!

Post the emails or pm where he said the $100.00 is for wrapping and /or his troubles. If true. Then report to mods and hopefully he can respond and clear up the issue. This sounds highly unethical.
Lesson learned: never put a down payment only on a knife and always use PP G&S
Sorry you are out $100.00.

Hi,
BEWARE of C Ben Susrool!
He is a crook!
He made me pay 100USD in advance of buying his knife (Survive! Gso).
He configured his email in a way that made me understood he wanted a down payment from 100USD to ship the knife to Belgium so he would be certain that i would actually buy the knife.
I payed him in confidence the 100USD thru paypal.(friends ot family)
The day after, when i wanted to pay the rest, he said that the 100USD i sent him was for WRAPPING THE KNIFE AND CONTACT THE POST OFFICE TO ASK SHIPPING COSTS, THAT THE 100USD SERVED FOR HIS 'TROUBLE' HE HAD TO GO THRU FOR GETTING THE KNIFE SHIPPED TO ME! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT???
I payed him another 300USD via paypal (payed for services and goods this time) he gave me no choice than to pay him because he said he would sell the knife to someone else.
A couple of hours later he decided to refund me the 300USD via paypal because he said he could not ship it to Belgium...
The 100USD was for his 'trouble' he said, which according to him i agreed with...NOT!
I am not insane!
I do business for several years with people from the USA and never had a problem in the past...
This is just regular theft!!
100USD easy 'earned' i should say! Thanks a lot! You can be proud of yourselve...

Wow that's some horrible stuff . Maybe someone should direct him to these accusations

First:

Evidence of this conversation would be great.

Second:

Why use F&F for any part of any payment to a stranger....you gave the guy that money as a gift, so it's his to keep.
As far as an actual transaction that turned into a "scam" see "FIRST" above....

According to this post:
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...ive!-4-7-added-PHOTOS?p=16662943#post16662943

The OP has been refunded. I don't known the seller personally, however he does not strike me as a thief. If he were, we'd have seen some indication after what 16 years of his being a member here? The OP/buyer in this case, may want to read the rules and use Paypal according to the way it was intended rather than gifting money to strangers. Here is a link for reference:

If there is something flaky going on, we'll find out soon enough.

Hello to you all.
Sorry for the late response but i live in Belgium so when you guys are up and working i am sleeping :)
This was his email to me:

Hi,
I hate the efforts I have to go to to ship out of the U.S.
For me to sell you this knife requires:
You PayPal me $100 (USD), non-refundable, and I will wrap knife and sheaths up and travel to the post office, and have them determine the cost of postage and insurance to ship to you. Let us call that X amount of dollars.
I will report that cost to you, and once you Pay pal me that X amount of U.S. dollars, and the asking price for the goods, not including the first $100, I will postage the goods to you.
Once I mail the goods, I am no longer responsible. You trust me to mail ( if possible, I can email you a photo of the postal receipt)
and you are responsible for customs fees and mail delivery. There will be no refunds for any reason. Check my feedback, I have no reason to lie or cheat. Let me know please, by email.

Now, in my opinion i assumed he ment that i had to pay him 100USD to be sure that i would buy that knife before he would wrap it, put my name and address on it,.......(since i live in Belgium) which i find a fair deal, asking a non-refundable amount to be certain that the buyer keeps his word.
And i did: i payed him another 300$ (so in total 400$ for a survive gso 4.7!!!) because i did not want to lose my 100$...
But a couple of hours later he just decided to give me back my 300$, without any further notice...
Let us say i did not understand his email as he ment it to be: does that give him the right to keep MY 100USD? For some wrapping paper and getting info at his local post Office? WTF!!!
Of which i have no evidente either...
What does he do when he has to send it CONUS? Without wrapping paper?not in a box anyway...that is more expensive.
@ Paloney: i understand what you mean...but i do business for several years now with people from the USA...NEVER EVER have i witnessed something like this before... never! I have always payed as F&F to those people without any problem...
I bought stuff from knife forums, hammock forums, hiking forums,....you name it, never had the slightest issue...
I got sick the moment he said the 100USD was his to keep due to his 'trouble'....
I have also seen that he closed his thread where the knife is for sale...the gso is back available because it could not be shipped to Belgium, money refunded. Only contact thru mail or Pm...i wonder why that is.....

I mean come on: 100USD for just some wrapping paper and getting info at the postoffice?? Of which i have no evidente either...

I put in bold the relevant part to his prior email above. Regardless of what I think about the practice, it seems to me that a careful reading of that statement is clear on how much he needs to be paid. Maybe there is a language issue going on here that contributed to the problem.

OP - can you show a screenshot of his email to you, rather than the typed text above? Not that I do not trust you, but a screenshot will eliminate any doubt that his email to you was fabricated by you. You can scratch personal info in the screenshot if any.

I would like to give you a screenshot but i have never done this before on this forum...can you tell me how?

From that email transcript it appears seller was pretty upfront about his "nonrefundable" fee.
With that being said, it appears the fee was for going to the post office, wrapping the knife. Etc.. it was a fee for going through extra hoops to send you the knife.
It is not the buyers fault that the post office would not ship.
Imho the buyer should be refunded the entire amount.
I would have not dealt with him if those were his terms.
Again lesson learned.

We do need to hear from the seller and get the rest of the story, so I'll draw no conclusions until then (or silence). I would say that regardless of the sellers wording - if he then said he would not ship to Belgium and cancelled the deal - morally, he should not be keeping the OPs $100. If that indeed is what happened. We'll see soon I guess.
