Camillus had the touch, when needed! R.I.P.

That old 4 line stamp is definitely one of my favorites, the font they used back then was classic!

I was thinking the same thing. What a striking font, with killah serifs.

As for the rest, the few Camillus knives I've seen in person impress me with their sleekness, seemingly 'underbuilt' compared to most modern counterparts--- and yet, not.

I suppose it depends on the pattern and time period P. Camillus was around a long time. This WWII-vintage utility knife is reassuringly robust.

Very nice!!! I have on of those on the way to me, but without shield. Beautiful scales though.

As most know, Camillus was a major supplier of knives for the military during WWII. Here are a few of the patterns they made to military specs.

Marlin Spikes for the two World Wars. The World War I version (bottom knife) was made for the Canadian Military and was the first military contract knife in the history of Camillus.

Mark, I wouldn't venture a guess on the age; but, I can envision Sparky Anderson tamping his pipe with it, circa 1984. Is that a spec of pine tar on there?:D
