Looking for a light knife to be used as emergencies. I know that I can get a Fred Perrin Shark, or a HAK, but I think this design is so sweet and I have my heart set on it.
Can anyone help me out? Preferably in Ti?

What are the dimensions? I might me intersted in making it since I also would like one for my key chain. Are you sure you want it in Ti? I have a good selection 6ALV4 and I believe I have some in 1/8".

I also would be interested if anyone chooses to make this , or similiar.

I did a bit of research on that knife in your pic deathshead , it's a Valor Wallet Knife.
Couldnt find one on eBay or much reference to them other than on a few other forums.

I am about 90% finished on the one I am making. I just have to mill the slot and put the edge on it. Any idea why the slot is there?

I'd prefer Ti only because I an only good to use it as a neck knife or sort, and not a beater. So I don't need it razor sharp. If the slot is a problem, I don't need it because I don't see any use for it.
Rebeltf, I'll look around for it under the name that you found it by. I couldn't find it anywhere myself on google.

No slot, and probably not the highest quality steel, but have you seen these?

At $7.00 a piece they may be worth a try. Anyone own one?

The slot is milled and am just finishing up the edge. I will post a pic on Sat of it. I almost forgot what a PITA titanium is to work.

Kiahs, I've seen those and thought that it could easily be modded by a knife maker.
B Finnigan, I heard that Ti, especially the higher grade stuff like Grade 5 can wear machinery fast. I'm excited to see the knife! Are you interested in making a few more in steel? I know a few members at a different forum that has commented about getting some made as well.

B Finnigan think you may make more. And if you think it'll be easier ti mod the ones pictured above, would you feel up to it?
Thanks!

Just realizes the knives above can't be modded like the one I have pictured. The edge is on the opposite side. But it would still work though I think. You will just have that protrusion that may or may not get in the way.

I can make any of them but I would have to order the steel since I dont use 2" very often. I don't want to screw around with Ti anymore. But if it's carbon steel then they would be 100% easier.

If you are still interested in the Ti one I am finishing let me know.

I am very interested in the Ti knife B Finnigan. I'd love to see pics of it. I am ready to pay however you like whenever you are ready.

I would love to see pics of the finished product.

DH - WEre you able to find any additional info on the blade?

What are the specs?

Thanks.

No Terry, I couldn't find anything except from forums like rebeltf has also found out. I know that some of the posts are from 2002, and it is said then that it was long discontinued.

I think the slot is for it to slide up and around easy on your key ring. I was playing with the one I made out of Ti the other day and figured it out while messing around with it. I wish I could have drilled out bigger holes for you but in the end it worked out. I gave that little guy to my nephew and he is just proud as can be. His fingers actually fit the one I did so it really turned out good for him.

I'm with B. on working the titanium. Its harder to grind than S30V or D2 and thats bad. I'll bet it took me an hour just to grind that short 1.25" one side edge.

I'm glad that the knife didn't go to waste. Steve.
I hope someone could make a semi-production piece of this knife in steel. Compared to other knives like the HAK, Fred Perrin Shark and Spyderco SPOT, I like this design better for the gripping options in such a compact package.

i would like to try my hand at this in some O1 or 1095, i just need to get some that big. if you could kinda give me some sizes and messurments ill see what i can do. right now im working on a tanto but i will be ordering some steel in a fue days so i would need to know how big it should be.

I myself don't know the dimensions at all. I only provided a pic. I wasn't even able to provide B Finnigan any, so I he probably just played it by ear. The only info I know is from a couple forum posts and the pic above.

i would gess the finger holes are 1". ill see if i can work up some sizes from this
