Can it be??? A GEC "Peanut"? #06 Pemberton

Looks like a peanut sized coke bottle.
Leave it to GEC to blow the doors off of conventional thought and yet remain squarely within the realm of traditional knife making.

Looks like an interesting pattern, but a little too small for my liking.
Bet it would make really good pocket jewelry / worry stone, though.

Makes sense, I had been thinking either a doctors knife or Coke bottle, being as John Pemberton was a pharmacist & the inventor of Coca-Cola

Just lost interest. I was looking forward to a nice 4" to 4.5" coke bottle. I'm not into a pnut either, but if you're going to make a nut, then make a nut. Sad face.

Duh, I just realized there is another thread, and Pemberton was the name of the guy who invented Coke. I thought the setup knife had a bit of Coke bottle look.

My small Case Coke bottle is ~3" or so:

I think I'll really like this new GEC

Reminds me of a South Park episode where Butters keeps trying to come up with an original plan but the "Simpsons did it" already lol

Hm... interessting news :) I´d like to see a small peanut sized jackknife by GEC - I think I just got hooked :D

You hit the nail squarley on the head with your first guess stitch! Named for John Pemberton, the inventor of Coca-Cola.

I'm not a fan of the Coke Bottle pattern, but I'm loving this trend towards smaller patterns.

I had always liked larger knives, being a Chef, working in the trades, and being a outdoorsmen, that being said I have carried a peanut everyday for over a year paired with another knife, but end up using the peanut most of the time, it is fully capable of handling most task, with a little fineness and some basic knife skills. I think a GEC peanut would make a great EDC most likely it will be built like a little tank.

I haven't purchased any knives in a while, but this might break the streak. I'd like to see how the Northfield versions come out.:D

Disappointed that this wasn't the pattern that pushed GEC over 4.5". Won't stop me from picking one up since I've been clamoring for GEC to go this small.

Im always for another GEC pattern. This one is near perfect size. I would like a Wharncliffe better but the Sleeveboard covers that.

I would like to see it with a spear master, wharncliffe secondary, in this size.

Truth be told, this would be my favorite Peanut style pattern:

Something about the swedged main and Wharncliffe secondary is just right :)

I am excited about the smaller GEC regardless, because the #25 jack is pushing it in most of my jeans' watch pockets, the only exception being the All American jeans I found that have a very generous watch pocket that will take a 3" folder with room to spare.
