Can it be??? A GEC "Peanut"? #06 Pemberton

Ah the AG Russel peanut (not sure his was the first, not likly, but that is where I saw it first). I love mine, it shares pocket time with my 2012 forum knife. I love the warny secondary blade! Steven
Truth be told, this would be my favorite Peanut style pattern:

Something about the swedged main and Wharncliffe secondary is just right :)

I am excited about the smaller GEC regardless, because the #25 jack is pushing it in most of my jeans' watch pockets, the only exception being the All American jeans I found that have a very generous watch pocket that will take a 3" folder with room to spare.

This knife looks very interesting, and something I might have to pick up. I love the small pocketable jack knives, and one this size or even three inches closed would be great to have from GEC! I wish they would do this exact knife in a straight equal end jack pattern (basically, one just like the ulster jack pictured in my avatar).

I'm definately getting one.
One of my pet-peeves with the case peanut, is how the secondary blade is behind the primary.
Somehow, my fingers don't work that way, so i always have difficulty opening the secondary. (I have three, so i have tried a selection.)
And with this, (even if it's not a true peanut) that problem is gone.
I'm just wondering how long it takes for them to become available.

I like it, it's cute. Might change my mind about these tiny ones, and pick one up.
More of a mini-coke bottle than a peanut, though.

I was gonna say it seems like they're pulling on the heartstrings of the BF forum members...it's been a long time that folks around here have been asking for a peanut sized GEC and they went with the tomato acrylic, which if I am not mistaken was introduced first on one of Charlie's Harness Jack SFOs?

Oh ya there's that whole "cult" things too :p

Interesting pattern. I do not have a cole bottle and I keep kicking myself for missing the ones that Boggs listed in the exchange awhile back. But this one is a bit small for me. I'll enjoy you guys pictures.

Looks good. I wonder how thick the blade is though. I hope is nice and thin. I'm just sorry to see the Tidioutes being released as single blade only while the NFs will be 2 blade. I'd have liked this in an ebony 2 blade... Maybe a NF will catch my eye.

I feel the same, which at this point means waiting to see what the Northfield bone cover choice(s) will be. Or maybe cocobolo, if they venture away from the typical cloud shield.

I need a knife with a cap lifter/bottle opener secondary blade!!!!!!!

That would befit a "coke bottle" pattern, for sure!

GEC...can you hear me??? COKE BOTTLE SHIELD! :D

... I'd love to see more of this shield, though perhaps not on this knife (?- I can't project "scale" without actually seeing it!)

Hmmm, looking at it anew, the lines of this shield would probably fight against the lines of the "coke bottle."

It would still be nice to see something (else) new, though.

I believe this shield is supposed to only be used on "short run" knives. The GEC55 has the new"Hounds Tooth" shield.

I've pestered Christine at sales in GEC since i first heard they'd make a pattern this small.
The NF will be getting "Cola" acrylics, which i think very fitting.
I'm definately getting one, or two, or three..
I've heard people say they're addicted to cola.. Is this what they mean?
