Can it be??? A GEC "Peanut"? #06 Pemberton

Love the black olive, wish they switched the color between the Tidioute and the NF as I already have autumn gold from GEC, Schatt, Colonel Coon...
That stag is looking sweet too!

As much as I love GEC's autumn gold-- and I do-- I agree with the above. That black olive stands out. Would that it had two blades.

Or maybe I should be relieved that it doesn't? Heh.

Yeah, I would have ordered one if it had two blades. My kids are already making fun of me lately - "Dad got another package today!"

I would like to see one of these in somebody's hand. Please post when you get one.

In hand with a Case Peanut, and in comparison with my Case Baby Coke bottle (3" closed). Stunning quality on this "little" knife, easy but confident snap on opening. Gorgeous, deep dark and well matched ebony:) The edge needs a pass on the stones, but that's easily done. I love the proportions, really is a big knife shrunk down, and it's nice and slim. I'd stop with this one if it had two blades, but I may have to get another one in wood (with two blades) for that "little bit extra". If you like Case peanuts, you really can't go wrong with one of these:thumbup:

Jim, Thanks so much for the pictures!

They're especially helpful since I have the same mediterranean blue, long-pull peanut.

Good set o' knives, there.

My pleasure P:) But I fear for your soul, as I'm sure that once you have one in hand... well you know how it goes;) I love my 25's as much as you do, but these really are a different animal. They fill a nice missing spot in the GEC small knife lineup, and they (at least my ebony) feel so good in hand, it's hard to put 'em down. My new favorite worry stone!

Oh wow, Jim-- nice pictures!

Thanks for doing this, and especially for the different views.

Now buy a 2-bladed Pemberton, and take more comparison pictures!

(HAH!)

((I have a suspicion that might be what happens next, more, er, "locally."

))

-- That all-steel #25 is a stunner. What year is it?

Thanks again. :)

My pleasure madam! That snakewood 25 is stamped '11 (251211 that is) and he's expecting a baby brother, I'd like to blame it on your request, but... I'd like to think that I couldn't possibly be that weak willed, (but I am!) and ordered it the other day :p

Stay tuned:)

I'll say.

GEC's done something special with this pattern.

I started posting Pemberton Pictures in t'other Pemberton thread (I got sorta confused), so shall continue there, but-- thanks again for your comparison pictures above, Jim, and for your thoughts. I'm very impressed (and oh so pleased) with my little 2-blader.

And I still want to see your next pictures!

(And everyone else's.... :))
