Can it be??? A GEC "Peanut"? #06 Pemberton

There has been some talk in the guitar communities about the fact that the really dark Ebony is becoming harder and harder to find. Also, I think Bob Taylor of Taylor guitars has some sort of monopoly on a large quantity of the fine Ebony coming into the US. He basically told his consumers to get used to streaked and lighter colored Ebony from now on.

Some of those do look lightly striped, but these look rather dark...

I ordered an ebony, and I wouldn't mind a darker one, but I'll be happy with either.

Dumb question, I have seen one two blade model and the rest seem to be one blade models or am I missing something?

I believe they are only making the Northfields with two blades, and the Tidioute brand as single blades.

Anyone know if these little guys have half stops? Sorry if this has been answered already.

I would like to see one of these in somebody's hand. Please post when you get one.

Oh boys... i have done it! Ordered the "small beauty" just 5 minutes ago!

It's my very first GEC.
"Let's start in tiny steps", i thought.

So the #06 Pemberton seems to be a good choice, what do you think?

The first reaction of the missus:
"Oh darling, is that little beauty a present for me? Because of St. Valentine's-Day?"

Oh, ohhh! What should i say?

You should say, "Why yes, sweetheart it is. How did you know? Wouldn't it be great if we had his and her versions!"

Both of you are happy, and if she ever tires of hers, you'll have one to sell/give away, or just have two for yourself.
