Can we bring khukuri into National Park?

What I got out of it:
California sucks.
National Parks suck.
If I go hiking I need to carry a large backpack with tedwca inside to fend off any cougars that jump on my back.

Did I miss anything?

Yes. You missed me getting a hernia because you made me laugh. Stop.

Andy

Nice looking kitties. Since lifting you would be difficult I think I will contact the trunk-monkey people for a backpack model, I'll give the monkey the khukuri and it'll deal with the cougars and rangers. ;)

For those not familiar, The Trunk Monkey :D

Thanks for the a.m. chuckle:p

Living in California is not a sin.

California is a BIG place with a lot of good people.

There are idiots in every state, and I've lived in quite a few.

And you can do this anywhere.

:jerkit:

I agree with you it's not a sin, lived there for the first 20 years of my life. I just prfer small town America more and a place with more conservative views, I just find it upsetting when I see folks protesting about something that they know nothing about. But this is what happens when a place becomes over populated. Look on the bright side Northern California is still nice. I guess I like to cling to guns and religion …. lol
Theirs just more of this :jerkit: there also.

Whatever. We've got on order 100,000 visitors/year in 29 square miles. That visitation rate is something you'll find in a lot of parks. Rules make sense when you have that many strangers interacting with each other, especially when they're away from home and think that what they do doesn't have consequences.

Fortunately, we've still got a lot of empty space in this country for people who need it. Enjoy it, guys.

I've been to Catalina and I have one question.
How the heck do you paint and make repairs in between those houses?
There's like four inches between most of them.

Trained ground squirrels. They're small enough to work in the gaps. There's a group that's pretty good at painting with their tails, but they charge a lot for renting them out.

When we're remodeling, we also start with the paint job on the outside, then install the wall panels inside the paint, then frame the walls, then redo the foundation under those...It's the only way to work in such a small space.
