Can you help rename this knife? (pictured)

Lynn,
GHOST HUNTER.......sort of rolls of the lips......GHOST HUNTER......

Im not kidding, it does!!! Makes a statement but not overwhelming.......

If you pick this name, I will buy one!!!
Hell, that's a cool looking knife, I'll buy one anyway!!!!
Dr. Lathe,
That is a good name. I am seeing lots of great names on here.
If would like to buy one, e-mail me direct. This is the best time to order. I am getting knife orders most every day. My ad in Blade Magazine comes out October 12th. I expect to get swamped then.
Thanks everybody for the great names. I have not decided on one yet. Keep them coming.

Thanks,

The Perimeter

Always thought that would be a good tactical knife name, lends new meaning when they say, take the Perimeter! It's what you would take when you did such a job.

Name it after a particularly nasty lady that you have only evil memories of.
For example, if that was a knife that *I* designed, I'd name it:
* Esther
* Noreen
* Colette
* Janet
* Liz
* Peggy
* Mrs. Earlewein (My 6th grade teacher.. PHEW, she was BAD!!)
* Aunt Sally

Okay, if those are inappropriate, howzabout:
* LEO 2000

That's my two cents. Hey! How come you're giving me change?

How about: Insurrector, Vices, or Picatchoo?

Darn! Merman beat me to it!

"Final option' is a good choice.

Good luck!

I think it all depends on what you want emphasized. Randall just uses numbers so the thing you think of most is "Randall," not, for the most part, a specific model.

It's the same with other products. Unless you have a model so unique as to stand out and be thought of independent of the brand name (Corvette, Mustang, Sebenza, 10/22, 1911) you should emphasize just the brand name (Glock, Rolls, Steinway, Rolex) and use numbers or other code mainly for catalogue and inventory.

Is this knife (or any of your knives) unique enough, and--more importantly--are you a big enough maker, to be able to justify naming each product rather than sticking to the mission of your overall brand name recognition?

Just my 2 cents worth from a marketing perspective.

Nice looking knife, by the way.

I like a lot of these.taken, How about the "MF"? It would certainly be a name that sticks in consumers' heads. It would stand, though, for multifunction.
If you want to avoid conspicuous names, you could call it "Angel Food" or "Fuzzy Kitten". Maybe "Thing with which to get Stuff out from Under your Toenails"?

That's all I can think of right now....

Trying to stay with the LEO theme as requested, I submit either The Partner or The Sidekick fits best. Both have already been submitted

Many good names are "taken," of course, and some of them are even "taken" by people who would be annoyed if somebody else used them.

Without researching, I like "Sidekick" and "Partner" best. An LEO or a soldier reporting to superiors might, at least as much as a civilian, want to have a knife that didn't say "Nasssty Weapon" right there etched into the blade.

Now, here's one that might carry the image of both a soldier on long range patrol or a hunter in an unspoiled wilderness: World-Rim Walker.

I think it's also a descriptive phrase for Grendel, the monster in Beowulf, but I haven't been able to confirm that from web searches yet.

By the way, does the winner get a knife as a prize?

Ha! I still say "Nightbeat" is the perfect name.

What cop wouldn't want a knife for a night shift. To top it off, it's not bloody or un-PC like some of the other names.

"Randy, did you have a question of the police officer?"

"Ah, yes Mrs. Johnson. What's that knife he's wearing?"

Officer:

"Errr, the Gut Spiller 2000."
