Giving up soy sauce is one thing, but giving back your Kikkoman   You're destroying yourself, man

Seriously, MM does have a chip on his shoulder, probably a cow chip. But, as MM has boasted about many times before, MM is independently wealthy and doesn't have to work, so I guess he can say whatever he wants. I should send my Beagle doggy out after him.

Next?

I don't think I ever mentioned that I was wealthy, only that my my income was already secured that I needed not work a 9-5 job for food and shelter. I am quite far from wealthy, but I guess in comparison to the Canadian Dollar, I am a wealthy man...LOL
That, you must recognize, has nothing to do with the issues at hand.
However, It's my right as an American to say what I want... It's my right as a New Yorker to kick your ass if I deem appropriate, and there is nothing you, as a Toronto schmuck, can do about it.

BTW, Toronto has the cutest prostitutes up there... I'll try to visit this summer.

Darn! Foiled again!
I'm so mad I'm seeing cross-eyed. I'm gonna blow my top any minute.
Well MM, just for that, I'm going to go out to the park, find a whole bunch of sticks, and I'll break every one of them. How do like them apples?
Ho, ho ,ho.

Wondering why some of you are saying that the http://coldsteel.com is not Cold Steel? Why would you think that? If they were not then they would not be sending buyers to Shoptmaxx.

Man manufacturers use shoptmax and other dealers on their websites.

A. G.

It is pointed out right on that site that it is the Cold Steel web site. Besides that, if they were a dealer I would think that they would sell more than Cold Steel knives.

A.G., Cold Steel may very well be supporting the Coldsteel.com website, but they also market their own knives on their own Special Projects website http://www.ltspecpro.com which seems more "official" to me. At least, at Special Projects, we're dealing with Cold Steel the company, itself.

MelMut:

As for the syrup, I didn't actually buy any... I shoplift it from the local trendy markets.

Stealing Maple Syrup is a terrible offense in Canada. I have notified the RCMP and they are well on their way to drag you to the great frozen north to serve your sentence!

I've been to www.coldsteel.com so often, but till date (and just now also) never see where it says it's not cold steel official website? if anything, it suggests that it is ...

Keith, any specific place on it i should look for?

Man, Canadian Prison is easier than Club Fed... What you call "HArdcore Criminals" up there are like catfighting girlscouts in New York City... I'd love to do time up there... it would be a vacation..:D

Well I guess that settles it. It is a cold steel website.
I have bought a number of Cold Steel products, and have to say, it does not matter where you buy it, Canada, US, anywhere, their customer service sucks!!!
When I purchased my first CS Recon Scout, the add said,"comes with top quality cordura sheath. Well, the knife is 5/16" thick, and the sheath fits a 1/4" knife. Hmm, no problem, must be a mistake. I phoned customer service, and am told, "Our knives are the best in the business. That is what we sell. If you want a nice, fancy (????) sheath, buy a custom made one. That's what most of our good customers do". I even wrote it down because I was amazed that I was treated this way.
Needless to say, I was pissed. But, being the optimist, I thought, maybe it's just this one woman.(BE-otch) There is no way they operate a company with this kind of attitude, so I made the knife fit, and carried on.
Later I ordered another Recon Scout and a trailmaster. Same sh!t different day. Made another call. They were not as rude, but tough titties on the sheath.
I will not buy from CS again, until I open the mailbox, and find a sheath that fits my one remaining RS.
This has nothing to do with being Canuck, they didn't ask where I was calling from, and I didn't tell them.
If the add said,"comes with a real crappy sheath that does not fit the knife." I would not complain.

BTW, that's not a chip on MM's shoulder, it's his vicious pitbull. And that's not his shoulder, it's his throat. Shouldn't those things be banned?;)

One thing...
Just because a domain is registered to someone, does not mean they run the business behind it. I seem to remember "Domain Sitting" (I think that was what it was called) where someone would register a domain like "McDOnalds.com" and then try to sell it back to the real McDonalds for lots of money. I don't know what the case is with ColdSteel, but registration is not irrefutable proof that they run the site or the business.

Edited to remove incorrect information.

Still.. where does it on the site that says not an official CS website? everything put there indicates it is a CS website, in the way they have special menu for Lynn, dealer contact, Q&A, etc.

me still confused ....

Keith , my apology for directing the question to you. i misread your comment, while in fact you said
It is pointed out right on that site that it is the Cold Steel web site
..

MM, the argument about McDonalds is valid .. someone else making profit by reselling it to them. But this case is a website named WWW.COLDSTEEL.COM registered under the company name. If we do the same for Benchmade, we might see the same result. So how do we decide it is not CS official website?

Well, Baliswinger, the possibilities are endless.

I could say... register MelancholyMutt.com, and have a line of products. Then, if I didn't want run a retail business, I could contract another retailer to run the entire show while using my domain and website. The magic of the internet is that anyone can do business as anyone else. Amazon.com does tons of business linked to other websites... the only reason you know it's Amazon is because the logo is placed there... Take that away (and they are not required by anything to put it there) and you will never know that you're buying from Amazon... So, I'm not saying that Coldsteel.com is not run by ColdSteel... I'm just saying that the registration is not proof positive that it is.

Edited to add...
It's very simple.... Someone should call the 1-800 number and ask if they run ColdSteel.com, preferably someone who hasn't chosen a side in this discussion yet.
