Canal Street Knife details

Since I consider it my responsibility to get the knives to each persons door, these knives will be shipped insured to all destinations.

That is the only way I ship. The actual shipping costs (with no markup) will be added on.

There is not problem at all going over 25, that WAS the minimum and there is no maximum. If we hit 50 they may even come cheaper (not sure about that.) ;)

P.S. thanks to everyone (especially El Lobo and textoothpick) that spread the word!

Also thanks to that someone behind the scenes who helped me out with some sage advice on "cat herding" :D. You guys are making this pretty easy so far.

That second blade is a nail file.

This is great!. Thanks Again Gus for the time and effort you have put into this project thus far!.

I have A-2 on several of my custom stickers and Bowies. It is some of the best user steel you can have. Takes and holds an edge like a dream and performs very well.. We won't be disapointed with this steel choice.

<> Incidentaly, I order USPS Priority mail boxes on a regular basis from them. The number is: 1-800-610-7833
<> Just let them know which size you want (video tape size is ideal) and they will send them right to your door free of charge.
<> They will even throw in pre-printed labels with your name and address on them for you.

Done Bushkill.

Yup we will keep the order list open.

To everyone.
Keep in mind this is a firm committment and you will be asked to send me a check pretty soon so there is no backing out at this point.

How could I have missed a cherished friend.

Thank you db. I very much appreciate you covering for me!

Gus recheck your list, are you missing one? Hint PhilL

Yeah Thanks Bill.
Ya see, Gus knows i usually don't have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of. So he looks at the time of my post and figures I'm probably drunk or stoned when i posted and he wants to give me the chance to back out when i sober up. But, I actaully do have the money and I'm glad he needs it soon, because who knows what I'll have in 8 to 10 weeks. :D

Gus, a cheque from the UK won't clear in the USA, I'm told.
And the post office have told me that UK money orders are often refused by your post offices.
I don't want to risk mucking you about, so can I pay by paypal, or I'm happy to do a direct transfer?
Otherwise what I'll do is ask one of my friends to pay you locally & paypal them the funds.

If that's too much to bother with, feel free to boot me from the list. As I say, I don't want to be a burden.

Cheers
Matt

freezergeezer,

First, let Gus respond to your post to see if any of the options you suggested will work for him..

However, if you need someone to PayPal and then write a check for you to obtain you knife, I will be pleased to assist you.

Email me at: veritas.group@att.net if you need my help.

Blessings,

Anthony

Guys,

This is not a retail purchase. I am not going to be profitting from this (as a matter of fact, I would bet that I will sustain a minor deficit by the time it is all over.) So what I am saying is I am not willing to put over 2K up front into this project.

We will have to pay up front 6 to 8 weeks before the items are shipped to me.

As an aside I do not do paypall at all. We can work out individual payment situations.

I expect you are referring to payments to you in the form of checks and/or money orders?

Yup that is the only we I can work it.

Check's or money orders. I do not do paypall at all and for good reason.

No Good Deed Goes Unpunished.

Folks, we can't let this happen. It was suggested in another thread that Gus should get his knife for free for his efforts. Of course Gus refused, and suggested that Spark should get the free knife.

I couldn't pass up on this knife because it came in way under what I expected the cost to be. The reason it's coming in below expectation is becasue of Gus. Gus may not feel comfortable profiting from this, but we can't allow him to take a loss.

I suggest that the final price should include; Knife, S&I, % for Spark's knife and a handling fee for Gus. We all need to be ready to send as soon as the final price is determined, not in 6-10 weeks when the knives will be ready for shipping.

Does that sound reasonable?

Phil,
You are right on the money here. I second these terms.

Guys,
Gus must not suffer any loss whatsoever from this project. Its going to be a headache(and has been already no doubt) for him on many levels, and the very least we all can do is to cover the costs. Let Gus set a handling fee that is fair above and beyond all the hard costs involved so that the man is covered.
