Cant decide on my first full size becker..

I think you should go with the 9. Your eventually going to get into the tweeners and see how awesome the 15 is. So if you go small with the 7 you'll get the itch for a large blade and the 9 will be there to scratch it. If your looking for a one knife answer the 9 ain't bad but the 21 will do it better! Not to derail the thread
 
The price I got the BK5 for lead me to believe they were merely upgrading the steel. I got 2.
