Hey Granite, I updated, the Thanksgiving thread you won. No pics, (don't wanna spoil the surprise) but sheath is done,,knife in one piece, just finish work needed.
 
Seriously debating selling my Mystery Ranch ASAP for a GoRuck. Maybe sell the HotTop instead.

I am humbled and waiting with bated breath to see what you have wrought. I was showing my fam your homepage (the Magua in particular) over the holiday. My dad was curious as to what one would need an M-18 for....I told him it was like a "woods cleaver". I still don't think he got it - his knife experience is limited to SAK's and kitchen knives. Ah, well. That's why I have this forum. Nobody in my family (or any of my friends, really) understands.

I was excited when my father got his Randall knife... Just because it gave us something else to talk about and i got to explain to him how to force a patina with warm vinegar. Nice teaching him something when its usually the other way around.... But i asked him the other day if he has been using it and he said no he hasnt needed to use it for anything. Right then it became clear to me he would never REALLY be a knife guy. A knife guy LOOKS for reason to use a knife, especially a knife like that.

I tried to convince him to send me the Randall and id send him a cheaper knife he could NOT use just as well LMAO
 
Just want to remind everyone.... you can't do epic shit with basic people.
 
Damned UPS. Snapped the tip off a fishing rod I ordered. What a drag.
Well, thanks to the Thanksgiving holiday and a conference that offered catered food for three squares (including cake slices the size of your head), it's back to running, climbing, core workouts, and some calorie counting. I feel bloated.

Take a little time off the web for hauling 40 y.o. hay out of the hay loft and y'all add like 8 pages of snark. Took a while to wade through it.

My mom, being 79, doesn't come up with good lines very often, but Friday at supper, the visiting family members were sitting around the dinner table after pigging on homemade spaghetti, sauce and garlic bread just swapping old tales and sipping some good red wine. All of a sudden, deciding she needed to get to cleaning the kitchen, she picked up her glass that was still 2/3 full as said...

"Well, this isn't how you drink wine, but it is how you finish it."

And chugged the glass like she was in some kind of contest. Maybe cause it was her 3rd glass. :D
