Can't think of a clever SNARK thread title, Snark thread.

I think we've had this discussion before.... "Minuet" is a dance; "minute" is a measure of time. :D

Well, since most minuets are about 3 minutes long, we could just incorporate both as a measure of time, e.g.,

"Dang, I had to wait in line for 3 minuets." implying it took about 10 minutes. :D:rolleyes:

Genius!!

Man, I thought I was a grammar cop.....it's the interwebz....let it go.

The point really wasn't the grammar...it was an opportunity to snark on bigghoss... Down here in the south, snarking on someone is a sign of friendship...

So, I got my winter tires on at my brother in law's garage and then I went to do some Christmas shopping. Headed to a local shop that supplies law enforcement and private security companies. They have the entire 5.11 line and a whole lot more! I ordered in some Rush Moab 10's for my brother in law's for Christmas, but while I was there they still had a few things left over from their 'Black Friday' type sale :D

Picked me up a Surefire 6P for $20!!!

I also picked up a bunch of 5.11 t-shirts for $5 a pop. :D

Then I talked knives with the guy for a little bit. He's a big Benchmade fan, I've been trying to convert him to fixed blade goodness. Think somebody might be ordering a 11 or 14 soon  He liked my 11 with scales :D

After... I decided to get some Pho for lunch  nothing clears up a stuffed nose better then some spicy Asian noodle soup!

sweet x2!
I like my 6P lots, and sure didn't pay that little for it. Hm. Prolly need some new batteries too.

Heck ya man!

The justification for me buying it... is I could upgrade the l.e.d and reflector assembly and still pay less then full price for it new at another location.

The amazing river store has the BK15 on sale for $42.83. Shipping included . . .

Just in time for the holiday season.

;)

I wish someone would have a sale on the 16!!!

They were getting rid of the last bit of stock. So what was there was all that was available. There were 10 shirts left, I grabbed 6 :D A few of them are 2xl which is too big for me... but they are cotton and I'll get my wife to shrink them :D One of them just so happens to be the background in the picture of my flashlight ;) I love the logo's / slogans on them lol.

Im a cheap ass when it comes to shirts. 20+ bucks is just too much for a shirt that will probably shrink in a couple washes. I look for shirts in clearance aisles and online during sales and stuff like that.

I spend a little more on pants because they have to be comfortable. But im not sure ill ever buy another pair of jeans. I love my 5.11 and 24/7 pants. I could go the rest of my life wearing those 2 brands of pants and be happy about it.

I have 2 pairs of 24/7s and 1 pair of 5.11s. I have probably 10 pairs of jeans... I wash the 24/7 and 511s and wear them over and over because i dont care to wear the jeans anymore. Now occasionally the wife makes me put on a pair of nice jeans or dress slacks when we are going out.. But i complain LOL

I am the exact same way. Not enough pockets in jeans and I hate sitting on my wallet. I've accrued about 6 pairs of cargo's over the past two years, and asked Santa for some Tac Light Pro's for Christmas ;)

Damn that is the life. l have to wear dockers or the like everyday. l don't get a choice in the matter it's required for where l work now. l used to wear jeans or whatever l wanted and it totally didn't make a difference but now l got a uniform type look I have to conform to.

Fenix had their 35's on sale. Not sure if they still are on sale or not.

YUP!! I picked up a 2nd one for the wife thanks to the heads up from Gunyon.

They are badass lights! 960 lumens with 1 18650 battery OR 1000 lumens with 2 CR123s.. At the sale price it was a no brainer... Even at the regular price i paid for mine its worth every penny and then some.

In one facebook group im apart of there is a bunch of light gurus, several of them have handfuls and handfuls of flashlights and many claim the 2014 PD35 to be the best light on the market under 200 dollars!!! And they dont come anywhere near 200 dollars. Hard to beat is an under statement.

The only fault that some people have, and for some its a deal breaker, is the fact it cant tail stand. But with a little creativity this is an easy fix. You can use the nylon case and make it stand on its end no problem.

I keep paracord on mine. This isnt for looks. I have used that paracord many times to tie the light to branches/poles whatever and direct light into a direction i need. Now the blue rubber bands on there is something my daughter did because she thought it was neat... So i left them there, but they "MAY" come in handy one day too LOL

For $10 and all it needs is one AAA, i agree. The clip is pretty handy too.
