Can't think of a clever SNARK thread title, Snark thread.

You have a Camillus BK-14? How much do you want for it?

No, I have the original Camillus-era Becker Necker BK-11 with the thing on the end that opens all sorts of bottles (bought it off the bay right before Cam went belly-up, in a rare stroke of good fortune), and it's not for sale :)

How do you have a good time if you cant fart or burp out loud???
:D

It takes some doing, but it can be done.

In other, food-related news, the latest batch of JT's World-Famous and Highly-Sought-After Green Reasonably-Hot Pepper Sauce (with all sorts of other yummy things in it to enhance your culinary pleasure) trademark, copyright, etc... is just about done fermenting and will be ready for the blending and bottling this weekend.

no sh!t. It's not technically a burp if it's not out loud. Farts, on the other hand......always go in a general direction. Like Steve Martin's theory: "Above the ozone layer is the fart layer, and if we lose the ozone layer, all the farts will come raining back down....and not on their original owners!"

As for The Holy Grail....it holds the record for the most amount of awesome lines in any movie, ever. IMO. But I haven't seen that many other movies, and I've seen that one a couple dozen times.

did I mention I'm fresh out of the last of the hot sludge I made from the peppers in our garden?..... (it was too thick to count as "sauce")

Just getting ready to up to our land, been looking forward to this weekend for awhile, it's the last weekend of season so hopefully I'll get a deer
Good luck man!
Dressed up like 'James Bond' waiting for the wife to finish her hair. Going to her work's Christmas party tonight. Going to be partying with Doctors

Flask and lefty are packed. A 'light' carry for me of my two gentlemen folders (ZT 0562 / 0801). Kids are packed up and ready to be dropped off on the in-laws on the way! tonight should prove to be a fun night
When I'm dressed as James Bond I tend to do with a polished Spyderco Police if I absolutely NEED to carry a folder. However I have a couple of "fancy" fixed blades that work just as well without being obtrusive.

Medical doctors? I party with PhDs regularly, but not MDs.
By carrying only ONE folder you demonstrate confidence to go with the monkey suit. ;)
I've partied with both, the PhDs aren't as much fun as the MDs.

I have a question about stripping....

I want to strip the 16 but first I etched the logo, now before I strip the coating, if I perma blue the logos will the chemical stripper take the bluing off?
Hell I thought it was "if you can make a buck then you're doing alright, if you can make five then you're doing something pretty good, if you can make ten then you're doing something right."

Yeah!!!! Finally got my very own Parangatang!

This thing is gonna look so good stripped and modded.

First off, a couple things I just don't get.

1) why would ka-bar use metric hex key screws on these handles when all the Beckers are Standard. Don't get it.

2) why would they not offer the Black Scales for these? They look so much better than the brown in my opinion. If the ZK's can get Black and Green, then why not give the JAB line up black and Brown. I think a lot more people would buy the knives in this lineup if they saw them in the black handle option.

So I also got a Baconmaker in. Thought I was gonna like it more than I do. May end up getting rid of it. Not sure yet.

I do like my old potbelly though. And I guess they haven't sold a lot of Baconmakers cause they still have the old coating and are roll stamped.

Any way, I think the Potbelly and Parangatang along with the gamestalker are the three strongest knives in the lineup and would make a great combo.

Also, I believe a shorter parangatang would be a very cool knife to have as well. I may pick up another and mod it by cutting off 1/3 of the blade.

I have issues. I went looking for a BK-14 (green paracord wrapped handle) that I know I own.
I could not find it. Still haven't found it. But in the process, I rounded up the bunch below.
Several were given to me, and others were bought on the cheap at Blade Show, but still, I had no idea.

Hey so I noticed you still have my scales I let you borrow that sh@rp made. I'm gonna go ahead and need those back. :D

Excellent! I agree, the black scales look great on them... Especially on the Potbelly.

A short Parangatang might be a fun one to play with. Make it happen, Dex!

Not having homemade pepper sauce/relish/sludge is just a cryin' shame. No civilized human bean should have to endure such a hardship.

I can help you with that. E-mail me your address again and I'll hook you up. (be warned, it's NOT super-duper crazy burn-your-face-off spicy... so if that's what you're into, you're on your own.)

That's a good point. At my wedding, I wore a THK Snarl, a pure fighter that's not much good for anything but, well... letting the insides out of bad guys. It blended nicely with my suit.

i might have lucked into a couple of crosscut saws - one bucking, one felling... SWEEEEEEEEET

No not anthrax. I was thinking of keeping it in the kitchen. Use it to extract essential oils and flavors to add to foods and stuff.
