Wow, indeed. It's about time Remington owned up to their problem, even though they are still claiming "it's not their fault." I first heard about the safety issue back in the late 70s. One of the reasons I still haven't bought one. If they could just get their fix fixed, I might get one.

So, I have a question about using a fresnel lens. One of the small, wallet size, flexible ones. When using one, is it better to hold it flat or hold it so it is concave or hold it so it is convex to use it to start a fire?
I've been meaning to get one and finally did, but now I'm not sure how to actually do it, I could see all 3 ways working... possibly.

I wouldn't mind trying to use one of those saws once. It would be a pretty cool experience. I used to watch lumberjack ccompetitions on TV and watched them in awe
