Can't think of a clever SNARK thread title, Snark thread.

Halfway through first bottle. Love it!!!!!!!!! Its a great beer!! I can only barely taste the peanut notes in it though. To me it taste similar to a chocolate coffee. But it goes down smooth and leaves a nice flavor in the mouth. One of the best beers i have tried. I can drink it VERY fast... which is good and bad, bad because it aint cheap.

The wife likes it as well. Says it would make a great beer to sip on in between shots, nice flavor and easy on the tongue. Not very carbonated at all either.

Haha. You said peanut notes...

So I've been reading all day with the exception of a few, hour long, breaks. I hope I've got enough floating around my grey matter to pass my test tomorrow.

Yeah you do!! I still haven't made a nice looking sheath for myself yet. Lol I'm working on it though.

Aint that the word aficionados use to describe flavors and stuff?

Hell i was trying to sound a little smart.... Thanks for blowing it for me Jonny

Whoa there, buddy. I'm happy you two are getting along, but no need to air your sexcapades on the open forum.

At the risk of sounding really, really ignorant, are growlers really useful for anything other than carrying beer? I've never heard of one outside of this forum and I've never seen one in person.

I'm watching the growler thread and considering getting in on it, but I don't drink much beer.

Got a "new" knife today. An old Kabar Hunting knife, 8" blade, 13.25" overall. Pommel held on with a brass nut, which says pre-1940 to me (could be wrong on that). Will be posting info and more pics in the Kabar forum in hopes someone knows the model number. In hand, the handle is bigger than that of full size Beckers.

For size comparison,
Top down:
- WW2 Kabar Guard Marked Pinned Thin Pommel USN MK2
- Kabar 8" hunting knife, unknown model #
- Kabar BK9

Okay, got a technical question here. Does anyone have first hand knowledge about 17HMR setting off Tannerite? Don't want to waste any.

This is what happens when you risk "sounding really, really ignorant"......

.....you could probably put any liquid you want to keep cold and or carbonated (they keep beer from going flat) in one. But yeah, they're mostly used for beer and usually the breweries have screw-top glass jug type growlers that they can re-use. The ones G$<3 is getting are supposed to be outstanding. I only have experience with the glass ones....two of which are in my fridge right now.

Being less than knowledgeable about growlers as well, do they keep hot beverages hot or are they only for use with cold beverages? I thinking hot chocolate for sitting out in the deer/hog blind.
