Can't top Edura 4 Wave for EDC

FRN Waved Endura 4 is a kick ass knife. Ive gifted a few to people who are less enthusiastic about sharps than I and they have really liked em. Sold mine long ago but would love to replace it with one with a sexy steel.

Finally a rational explanation of why a waved knife may not be for him/her. I consider pocket clips to be too handy and convenient to write off even though I like the looks and handle feel of knives without them. Pocket clips are not fool proof though as pointed out and can catch onto stuff as well as ruin any hopes of concealment ( a law in my parts requires concealment by the way.) I don't EDC outside using a pocket clip.

If your pocket clip gets snagged many times maybe consider pocket carry without using the clip or using a pouch. If using a clip is a must to you despite being frequently exposed to situations that snag your clip and pull your knife out of your pocket then a waved knife is not for you.
I almost always carry a waved knife in my right pocket, and that knife does not come out, yet, at least, usually too big, Police 4, Yojumbo, that sort. Seatbelts are the only thing that ever tried to steal my knife.

I am still testing the waters, and am using only very small knives, to normalize it. SAK, Microtech UTX-70. I did not think it would matter, but because of the fast paced work, I prefer the D/A auto the most. Quick, sharp, can cut both ways, can get back in my pocket quick so I can pick up the items. A wave would also be near as fast.

The Endura is a classic, but there's a huge list of knives that I'd carry before ever carrying an Endura again. The handle is oddly shaped, and a blade that large being that thin isn't great. 🤷
I carried an Endura with zpd steel daily for outdoor work and edc tasks for 7- 8 years. Sabre grind. Plenty strong for my needs. When the full flat grind came around, I realized how much more slicey the knife could be. After moving to a Military and later a PM2 for work, I switched to Cold Steel work knives.

Getting a recent Endursteein k390, I m very happy with the steel. But I agree that a blade that long that is that thin doesn't t seem to be as sturdy as I would like. Light to medium use ok. Heavier work, maybe not. In Spyderco, now I lean toward the Manix 2, with m390 or cts xhp steel.

I don t like waved knives, and I don t like flippers.

Man, I m old fashioned. Just never figit with my knife. Or my screw driver. Or my hammer.

Wave can be had for folks caring about 0.1 second difference But for me, nah I don't care. Actually I prefer to not have that weird attachment on the spine of the knife.

the waved endela is pretty nice too, it has a slightly different shape and size than the endura
