Carbon Fiber, Composite Blade, 0560.

Now, I'm not knocking anyone at Kershaw/ZT or anything like that.

But I find it humorous that a different color scale gets a new number but a redesigned knife with different scale, different texture, different blade only gets a suffix.

It looks awesome and low $300 is definitely within budget. Definitely will be preordering when we can bug the dealers. :D

totally agree with you on this. i love the knife but if a scale change on the 0560 gets a different model number, this one definitely should too. i suggest 0569 because it is so damn sexy :p

It is an amazing knife but I have way too many outstanding medical bills unfortunately. Don't pay your anesthesiologist and something really bad might happen next time they put me under for surgery. :(

While this is closing in on the "I'll never need another knife again" level of artistry It's gonna get by.

I thought the next super steel were going to be SM100 ( not really a steel), and Vandis 4.

I have a Phil Wilson custom in S110V at full hardness and his classic thin grinds. This steel, despite staggering performance isn't a weak sister. Act sensible and it'll do great, while giving top of the line performance.

Ah, I'm happy there will be some people walking around with a new reference standard performance wise in hard use folders.

I still have my S110V shallots. Another example of getting a lot more performance than you paid for. Still a nice knife.

Man, ZT's latest line up is just becoming a pain for me. I have the 0561 on pre-order (still) through two venues. Pre-ordered a 0777 rather late (probably won't get it from production cap alone) and want to pre-order this 0560 LE version. I just have this feeling I won't ever be able to get any of these.

Disclaimer: this is not a sympathy cry. I'll sleep just fine.

I think if I add a little knife debt it will ease the pain.

You'll probably get a better interest rate if you take out a loan with the bank. But, seriously, we've got time. If you want to buy one of each it shouldn't be hard to save up enough by the time they release.

Well well, seems this knife might be in production sometime this year, why else would an online retailer already have it up on their coming soon list. Beyond the prototype phase perhaps?

They also have a tiger striped version listed and a black bladed 551. Their listings tend to be a bit overzealous.

I was at the booth today (Blade) and they said next year. I held the knife and was a little let down. The detent was too light, so using the flipper was kind of difficult (maybe it was just me) and because of the CF it was a little too light for my taste. They told me it was going to be a limited 1000 piece run.

These are two key things that make me love my 0561 so much. The detent is fairly strong so it shoots out when you use the flipper and I like a little heft to my knives...which the 0561 has.

In all fairness my guess is that the 0560 Composite had been handled to death. Even though there appears to be more than one in existence. The only reason I say this is because when I asked the guy to hold it someone had it in their hands. He says to the lady, "we only brought one".

Also handled the Ti/CF slicer, but that's for another thready...LOL I'll just say I like that knife A LOT more based on that one encounter.
