Sorry, didnt mean to repeat topics. Of course, you could look at it as in this job market, someone's career could change in a couple weeks.... I know mine did.

Construction labor until I went back to school and graduated as a mechanical engineer at 34. 20 years mechanical engineer in the semi-conductor business. Stay at home dad for the last few years. Working on getting into some type of comprehensive fitness work. I'm 56 now and have been drooling over knives since a neighbor I mowed lawns for gave me my first two folders when I was eight.

I'm a Journeyman Millwright who is the Foreman of a crew of welders and mechanics who maintain the boilers, turbines, pumps, motors, etc in the largest Power Generation plant in NYC. Born in '75, started collecting knives in '82. Currently and for the next few weeks I will be at home recovering from neck surgery. I am officially bionic now ;)

Computer technician currently unemployed.
Been working as a computer tech, personal assistant, waiter, salesman, electrician and roadie.

I work in broadcast radio. Been in for over 16 years now. I like it a lot because it puts you in the path of so many different industries and different types of people given our main source of income is advertising. You get to meet a lot of different people and get to experience a lot of things first hand that you might not otherwise because of this.

The thing I find funny about radio is how common it is though for us to have a love of firearms and knives and the outdoors, don't know what that says about us as an industry...lol! Whether it's been at small town stations or in the big city...this has been the case. I guess maybe I have an extra appreciation for this type of stuff though since my father was a cop for 30 years and we're "country" kinda people, it's pretty much in the blood.

I'm 32. Currently working for a residental services company as an APB (all purpose bitch) doing pest control, critter wrangling, lawn care, property mismanagement and the like.

Also do APB services for Jeff and Mike. I like that job alot more than the pest control gig.

Before that I spent 10 years as a plastic injection molding process tech. Making little plastic bits for cars and planes.

Before that I worked at a place called Electric Mobility fixing rascal scooters for old people.

Before that I worked security at a major Hardware store chain.

And finally before that I was the night manager of a Pizza Hut.

Got my first knife on christmas when I was 8. A Buck 110. Haven't stopped drooling over them yet.

VW, Audi, and (strangely enough) Suzuki certified automotive technician. Before that student and worker-of-shitty-odd-jobs. Before that, child. I'm 23.

I'm 48 , Journeyman Cabinetmaker for about the last 25 years. Still got ten fingers after all that time with saws and power tools. I have also learned after all those years how to put a sharp edge on just about anything .

:)

I am a professional ESEE knife collector and user...

I haven't figured out how to make any money doing that, so in addition to that, I am also the General Manager of a restaurant and I have the profound pleasure of playing with knives and fire for a living. I've been in the restaurant industry for 14 years and collecting knives since I was 6. I am 28 years old.

Not a whole lot of Restaurant and Hospitality folks on here, eh? It's a kick ass line of work if you are the right breed of man and find the right company...

Well, I'm a physician (for 31 years) (otolaryngologist, 24 years), 56 y.o. Been using, collecting and carrying knives and guns since...I don't know (40 years?). I even took a mail course in gusmithing
