I like to think of myself as a Renaissance Man.

Oh yea, I started my career path since I was 8, when the Old Man taught me to solder copper pipe and I helped him work on his diesel truck, (he was a fleet mechanic for Shell Oil) and later an Over the Road Truck Driver.

Attorney since 87. Before that had a bunch of jobs including landscaper, worked for small moving company, did boat repair and a few gigs as an unskilled factory worker.

While not working, I'm loving life as a husband and father of 3. My 12 year old is in Boy Scouts and goes camping once a month. I often go with him to help out with the troop.

I've been into knives since even before my Dad gave me my first at 7. I really enjoy teaching my kids how to respect and use firearms, knives, bows, fishing gear, etc.

I am a Journeymen Ship Fitter in the Boilermakers Local 104. Best of the best! :) Currently building the new 64 car ferry for Washington state at Todd's pacific Ship Yard.

I don't have any formal education or job training but I've been a receptionist for the past 8 years. I'm really good at being an administrative assistant/receptionist.

I'm well known for my ability to organize and clean down to anal retentive detail.
I'm really good at filing paperwork, doing the company's deposit, etc.

I was laid off in January from an architecture firm. My previous job hired me back as a temporary employee! I'm doing such a good job that my temporary employment expired and the CEO gave me an extension on employment for another year.

Knowing your job will expire in a year isn't fun :( I need to get another job, a more stable job.

Business Analyst, Project Manager, and/or Developer depending on the project. I work in the IS department of the markets division of a large news firm.

and compressor operator on land.Yes ,battery operator.I never worked on the drilling end of it .Always on the production side.

Well, I have a pic of me at work wearing an envelope on my head pretending to be a garden gnome that is pretty awesome. Here it is!

Student Majoring in Anthropology/Archaeology. I'm an avid adventurer and I've been using knives since I was about 6. 'Bout to graduate and keep on learning I guess.

I'm 45. Work in sales for Verizon. Been a school teacher, martial arts instructor for 30 years, father to 2 teenaged sons (best job I will EVER have). Got my first knife a long time ago--it was the blue handled Cub Scout knife. I rebought one a few years ago just for giggles. Great little knife!
I remember getting a Kamp King knife set before I was 10: it had a hatchet, pocket knife, and fixed blade. I romped all over the woods with the set as a kid; never got hurt and learned a ton! I still have that hatchet around here somewhere...

Great and interesting thread. A lot of teachers and both past and present armed service. Thank you all for your service.

I am 43 and have worked in the insurance/employee benefits industry for 18 years with a brief interruption as a commercial real estate appraiser. I currently manage our renewals for the local sales office. I can't remember my first knife (cheap folder), but I just bought my 9 year old his first knife. He is learning safety, etc. With a Buck small Bantam. Once I am more comfortable with his respect of knives he will get his first esee, an izula.

I'm a photographer and graphic artist first and foremost.
I also work in private and personal security.
I used to teach photography at a college until I was a victim of "budget cut backs." I loved that job and am working towards teaching at a college again so until that happens I am also a student again picking up a second undergrad degree and then plan on going to grad school for my MFA (Masters of Fine Art.)

Full time bum?... Actually I am a full time college student. My wife right now is supporting us till I get a degree.
