That's okay. I salt everything. Except pizza. And sushi. The salt would raise the boiling temperature a bit.
This is not a joke, is it?I seem to have developed a tradition of ordering some knives on Black Friday that serve as Christmas/birthday gifts for me.I did it again this year, and one of the knives I ordered was a Joker stag lockback. The box arrived, but it did NOT contain a knife. It DID contain the object pictured below; anyone know what it is?? Thanks!

i grew up on the BHBs ...to this day I have never known what grits are...nor vittels for that matter..so tell me.
Was about to answer you, but a real hillbilly beat me to it!whhheee doggies Hillbilly thank ye Sir.
I'll echo that sentiment! Happy Independence Day! 101 years, if what I read is accurate.Happy Independence Day to our members in Finland.
Grits is basically ground corn boiled, a southern U.S. staple. I personally don't care for grits actually ( blasphemy for a southerner) Ain't nothing but boiled chicken starter feed to me lol. Vittles is just slang for food in general. A corruption of the word victual. An old word for prepared food
again mostly a southern U.S. thing

I think Jed was saying "well, doggies!", stretching out the "well." Unless David knows better!![]()
A little salt & pepper is the way I take my grits and I mean real southern grits, not the instant kind..I didn’t like grits the first time I tried them but after spending a few months in Mississippi I learned to love them. That was years ago and I still really like them.
Thems my kinda people!David I'm here for you son don't let this bunch push you around. Being born, raised and still living in the southern Appalachian Mountains right or wrong I'm on your side we got to stick together and yes we do tote shotguns and drink "licker" around here.
Here's some pictures of your sophisticated back up around here but we are a little south of WV.

It sure wasn't a joke to me, Vince, when I opened the box and found unexpected contents! This is not a joke, is it?
looks like a sight base for a pistol or rifle.
Thanks for the info, guys.scope mount? Looks like someone has "rifled" the packages at the store and got themselves a nice Joker knife and replaced the box with something of approximately equal weight. NOT cool.

I've been eating grits all my life and love them with salt, pepper and butter some folks like them with butter and sugar. Sometimes I indulge myself with my favorite breakfast from my childhood eggs, country cured ham, biscuits, redeye gravy and grits. I just decided what to have for breakfast tomorrow.![]()
