  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

"Carl's Lounge" (Off-Topic Discussion, Traditional Knife "Tales & Vignettes")

J Just Tom. , I'm amazed that I can "get" the cultural references in your "emoji-grams".
I guess it's true that a picture is worth a thousand words (or, in the second example, a dozen emojis is worth 3 words πŸ˜„).

Same way as for text: I highlighted it and then clicked the font size icon. (looks like the default size is 15) so select a number bigger πŸ” or smallerπŸ”¬.
Whhhhaaaaatttt?!?! That is awesome! I never knew!!! How long has emojis been out?

Thank you!!!

What did I just watch? lol!!!

You are too young to remember that one. Had you been a [geeky, unpopular] middle-schooler in the late 70’s or early 80’s, you would have practically memorized every line of that and a bunch of other Monty Python sketches. Back then everybody watched the same 4 or 5 TV channels, and if anything good aired, people would be quoting memorable lines from it to each other all the next day. Especially Monty Python, or Clint Eastwood westerns.

Your guess was so close, though.

Cool! :cool:πŸ˜„
I was trying to make some connection to the Blue Parrot bar in Casablanca!

That would have been a reference I wouldn’t have gotten...
I edited my post to include the full length sketch - I didn’t realize the one I linked cut off short.

My brother-n-law was/is a Monty Python fan, I have a hard time understanding them sometimes, that sketch you posted was funny!πŸ‘
RC Cola and a Moon Pie.
RC stands for Royal Crown.
My uncle used to drink RC by the case, we loved it when we were kids, haven’t had it in years. Do they still make it?

I just realized the clip I posted cut off short. I think I now successfully edited my post to link the full sketch.

I haven’t seen RC cola in years, but if anybody has, I would be curious to hear about it, and get some.
