I'm really not liking this "similar threads" thing, looks like it'll lead to a lot of necroed threads 🙄

I hadn't noticed the "similar threads" thing. I'll happen upon it eventually.
Whew! Spark just disabled it. Maybe he's testing out all the new features and deciding which ones are worth using.

That was my first reaction, too, Jack.
My second reaction was, "Hey! Might this mean "Search" is now operable??" :)

(Of course, I probably won't try to verify my conjecture for another couple of hours.)

I had some success with the Search function in the past few minutes. I searched the Traditional subforum for thread titles containing the word "Lambsfoot" and Search returned the Guardians thread. I had tried that at least once daily since last Thursday with no results until now.

I also searched this thread for any posts by me. Search returned 18 pages worth of "hits", and I thought, "All is well!" But then I noticed that the "hits" returned spanned a time frame from Nov. 2014 until sometime in 2018. I KNOW I've posted in this thread since 2018, so maybe there's still index-building in progress.

I also searched this thread for "eagle" in posts submitted by me, since I knew I had posted recently about an immature bald eagle I saw at a nearby lake. The only hits that came back were 2 posts, from 2018 and 2019, so relatively-recent posts (except ones since the new software install) seem inaccessible to "Search" so far.
