Just ordered a Boker Castle Burg Club knife , it cost about the same as filling up my super duty. Last fill was over $200 Canadian......
Totally agree with Gary. The Boker club in any cover material is a fantastic knife. That's a nice knife! It'll be in your pocket long after that gas goes up in smoke!![]()

AEBL should take a shaving edge for sure. Nice rig.Was looking for an excuse not to snow blow today. We could get some more snow today and overnight, and we've got no where we need to go.
I decided to put the Barlow BFF on the KME, and follow up with a good stropping. Now it shaves my long old man arm hair like a razor. Some day I'll put it on the Worksharp/belt grinder, but I'm not ready to do that yet!
For sure, also posted in the boker solingen thread as well! Also picked up the boker prime Barlow in curly birch, it is quite nice as well!Got a picture of that knifemachinistbutler - even a dealers picture would do.
Thanks, Frank. It took a screaming edge. First knife I've owned with that particular steel, and I'm quite happy with how well it sharpened. I'm not sure what Boker hardens it to, but it seems like a decent steel.AEBL should take a shaving edge for sure. Nice rig.

Very nice knife, congrats, but they're just calling everything a Barlow nowadays, aren't they? For sure, also posted in the boker solingen thread as well! Also picked up the boker prime Barlow in curly birch, it is quite nice as well!
Though I have in the past looked longingly at large macho trucks, these days I am quite glad I drive a little Kia.
A man's got to know his limitations.
Nice knives, with great steel. Why can't they just do some RESEARCH?!Very nice knife, congrats, but they're just calling everything a Barlow nowadays, aren't they?![]()
Like they'd know about anythingI checked Merriam Webster's dictionary definition of barlow, and it is an inexpensive sturdy jack knife. I agree it isn't a Barlow as it sure as heck is not inexpensive!
There was a time, in my youth, that I wanted a small pickup. Then I realized that none of my friends at the time had one, so it would mean being asked to lend it or help move all the time. I went with a little Corolla hatchback, which could hold a surprising volume. It was like a TARDIS when loading drums.I have wished for a pickup truck since I was a teenager, but I bought a Honda Civic when I graduated college because I needed something reliable that would be cheap at the pump. I’m on my second one now, with over 160,000 miles on it. Almost all of my coworkers drive trucks, and I’m always the goofy big guy in the little car. I think I caught a few of them casting stolen glances at it in the parking lot the other day.
You’d be surprised how much you can fit in it at the home center, if you’re determined enough!

All Barlows are jack knives, but not all jack knives are Barlows.Like they'd know about anything![]()

We bought a brand new Civic for my wife to drive in 2005, and it's currently our only vehicle. After 17 years, it still has only 99K miles, so we obviously don't put a lot of miles on the car since we live and work in the same city. It's been a good car, and you CAN get quite a bit of stuff in it, including quite long stuff, if you fold down the rear seat, move the front passenger seat way forward and recline its seat back as far as possible. You can run stuff from the dashboard to the back of the trunk, and even farther back if you're willing to let stuff extend out the partially-open trunk lid. We've cut down 8' Christmas trees and carried them home inside the car (well, only 1 tree per year, but I bet I could get at least 2 "twine-bound" trees in there if I had to).I have wished for a pickup truck since I was a teenager, but I bought a Honda Civic when I graduated college because I needed something reliable that would be cheap at the pump.
