"Carl's Lounge" (Off-Topic Discussion, Traditional Knife "Tales & Vignettes")

An interesting tally, Just Tom. I pulled out my spreadsheet to see what I had, and found 14 different countries of origin, with the following percentages:

USA ------------- 71.3%
CHINA ------------ 9.1%
SWITZERLAND --- 8.4%
GERMANY ------- 6.0%

Croatia, England, France, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Russia, Spain, Sweden and Taiwan each with less than 1% of my collection.

I'd do it for free ...I dont mind Gervais but that Afterlife show blurred the lines somewhat between being rude to everyone and trying to garner sympathy for himself....
LOL! I didn't see it. I've enjoyed some of the things he's done, but he can be profoundly irritating 🤨

I think he upsets people everywhere :D
I guess I should get out more. I haven't been aware of him for a long time.
That scene in the original The Office, when he knows he's been fired but he puts on the chicken suit for the publicity photos anyway, because he's a professional, and at the end the photographer says, "I've got the wrong lens; these won't come out anyway", has stuck with me.

It really is classic stuff Jer, makes you cringe and laugh at the same time! :D

JB..remember the dreaded bagpipe spider scene from The Goodies...a guy laughed himself to death....or laughed so much he had a massive coronary...those guys were the best.

I thought I'd put a little lemon oil on a few wooden handled knives today. I remembered the Formby's that has been on my workbench for decades. I recall looking to buy some more a while back, where I found it on the big auction site for $115.00.
I guess I'll use it sparingly!

Final boat update (previous posts here, here and here):

They finally got it moved… and it only took nearly four months! 🙄😁

They actually moved it last week in the middle of the night (since they had to close the road). Here are a couple screenshots from a video of it being moved.

The whole ordeal was funny at first, but after a while I think everyone (myself included) was just tired of looking at the thing.
