Very nice muley in your first two pictures, Mike. Is that right near your house?

It is. That one is about 200 yards as the crow flies.

The Elk are about 5 miles or so, south of my house.

The deer in last picture are just over our fence, and about 30 feet from where I am sitting right now :D.

I have a picture of a nice Mulie, that was also taken just over our fence. Give me a minute, and I'll find it for you

Mighty nice, the first one is a Booner for sure, and only looks like a four year old, young face. Great area.

Ya, he is a dandy. I have a 4 point Mulie hanging on the wall next to me, that is 30". The one in the picture is definitely bigger.

We get deer around the house all the time. It's really fun to watch the fawns. One day I was sitting at the computer, and looking out the window. The wife had left the gate open, and here came momma and two fawns. They were only about 6 feet away from me. They walked around the yard for awhile. I had the window open a little and it cracked me up listening to them...

We haven't had any Elk at the house. There are a couple decent sized herds that are only a few miles away though. My son has seen Elk quite a few times at his High School.

Thought you fellers might like to see this extra pic from my Royal Armouries trip yesterday. Two English trade tomahawks, both from about 1800.

Those are very cool Jack. They have aged very nicely for being over 200 years old...

338375, it looks like you have a deer petting zoo! :D

Ya, somedays it feels like it. I really enjoy seeing them. I just got home from work, and as I turned to go down our street, there was a nice 4 point standing on the edge of the road. It wasn't anywher enear as big as the ones in the other pictures, but still a nice buck.
If I didn't have any morals, I would do my hunting from the back deck :D

Yes, they are very recent by the standards of a lot of the stuff they have in that museum, but clearly well-made.

Looks like you live in a lovely place sir. The most I get are hedgehogs, squirrels, and foxes, and birds of course. Lots of squirrels and foxes, but unfortunately my neighbour's growing number of cats doesn't do much for the local wildlife.

Thanks Jack. It truly is a great place, and I feel very fortunate to live here...

Is it a sign of insanity, that when you remember buying an older Remington two blade jack, you realize you haven't seen it in a couple months? My old Remington jack is missing, made by Remington back in the 30's or 20's. I either set it on my shelf, or it has fallen behind the seat in my Silverado. I ask if it is insanity, because I have so many other knives to keep my knife addled brain occupied that I forget a collectible knife?

I've bought knives off the internet, and a month or two later thought, "Oh my gosh, that ________ never came in!"

Then after frantically checking my cases, there it sits; of course it came right away, and I already forgot.

When I was hobbling around this summer/fall, it was my constant EDC. Several knives over the past few months have laid it by the wayside like a discarded toy. I wouldn't be surprised if it ran away to find a new knife nut to take care of it!

No, I don't live in Shangri-La...but I'm happy to live in a beautiful place, and I've learned to spend my money in search of other beautiful spots :)

There is so much truth in that line.Enjoy your holiday.
