Sad news. And Dikembe Mutombo of NBA and humanitarian aid fame also died, at age 58.
Surprisingly, former U.S. President Jimmy Carter, who just turned 100, is still hanging in there.

I’m pretty sure he lives in Asheville, too, one of the places that got the worst of it. Haven’t talked to him in a while. I know he was off BF for a long time, but recently started posting again. I sure hope he’s alright.

Randy does live in Asheville. I sent him a couple knives a couple three months ago. He's wheelchair bound having lost the use of his legs. He's a very nice guy and forthcoming to anyone who reaches out to him.

Edited to add: I've just sent him a DM. Hopefully, he is able to respond.

I was browsing through my Imgur posts, looking for something, and I'm not sure exactly what it was when I came across this.

For some strange reason, your post took me back over 50 years to the days when I lived in a college dorm, and someone would always be walking the halls yelling that, "We need a fourth!" for playing cards, usually bridge.

I haven't studied them enough to distinguish one from the other. There is one that seems to hang back from the group, but I didn't notice that today.
It's interesting how just mentioning a word can trigger a memory. Perhaps they are playing bridge in the woods! 🤣 🤤
