My daughter broke her foot on Sunday while visiting from out of town. She called the local orthopedist, told the receptionist the doctor at the ER said she needed a walking boot so she could walk, and asked whether she could get in without an appointment. Receptionist said, “No problem. Just come to our walk-in clinic.”

Sorry about her foot, that was kind of funny. I wish we could have saw the receptionists face when she realized what she said!My daughter broke her foot on Sunday while visiting from out of town. Cancer can kick sand. I am sending healing thoughts to her. A great attitude is key, you're not wrong there. My niece is going through cancer treatments. She's doing well with them, but lost her hair, or has shaved it off. We drop off a meal every week and chat with her. When we're leaving, I usually say something about "getting out of her hair". I feel awful, but she laughs and takes it in stride. Having a positive attitude goes a long way...
First, welcome to the Forum! How long have you been in Iowa? I grew up in Nebraska and went to Drake University where I met my beautiful bride many years ago. Can’t say I miss the winters and hot summers but the springs and falls were great. A big reason why we moved to San Francisco where it’s always spring or fall year around.Good morning all! Hope you are all a great day so far. I am an American but my family tree has deep Irish roots. I traced my irish ancestors back to 1740 Ireland
