Very sorry for your loss Mark. My own Mother passed away a year ago this month. It was a shock getting the phone call that she was gone. A year later it still doesn't seem possible that she's gone. Be extra kind to yourself for awhile Mark.

Jim

Mark, I am sincerely saddened for the loss you and your family feel. I know there are no words I can give to ease the pain of loss. You and yours will be in my prayers. You have many friends here, and we are all here for you brother.

Chris

Thank you all for the kind words and prayers, they mean everything. As Carl has said many times "this is the best group of people on the internet" I agree 100%. My sister had just talked to my mom on the phone yesterday morning at 9:30, she went peacefully at around 11:30 am and is now with my dad who passed three years ago.

Brett - Congratulations on your newest family member, she is beautiful brother!

There is nothing in this world as beautiful as newborn and to be a dad is the greatest blessing, imo. Thank you again for the support and well wishes. Hope you all have a great holiday weekend.

Congrats and know you had a Happy 4th. Don

Mark, So Sorry to hear of your loss. You and your family are in our thoughts. My wife lost her Mother 8 yrs ago yesterday. Ever since the family gets together on the 4th in rememberence, but it's still a bad day for the wife. Lost my Father the same year on Labor Day, but at least Labor Day isn't always on Sept 3rd which makes it a little easier for me. Again hang in there and in my thoughts....

Wife, dog, and I spent much of the day at Prince William Forest National Park. Much the structures built by Roosevelt's CCC then later used as an OSS training ground.

Now a place of natural solitude in the mess, hustle, and bustle that is Northern Virginia --- amazing really.
