"Carl's Lounge" (Off-Topic Discussion, Traditional Knife "Tales & Vignettes")

These dang super powers can be both helpful and annoying, but I think the helpful part outweighs the annoying part, so, it's ok. "Annoying" is MY super power, but it's a "playful annoying" as opposed to yer basic "PITA annoying". That's probably just the way I look at it though, which is somewhat akin to BO. We oftimes are way too late smelling our own BO. Enter, the daily shower...but alas, I digress, which is another one of my super powers. :)

"Alright, then..."

Kerry - while I do appreciate all the work that went into the changes/updates, I must respectfully disagree. I'm not liking these here changes much. :( Maybe I'll get used to them after a while.

Elliott - By chance, is one of your favorite foods biscuits & mustard? I swear, I will never, EVER say anything bad about the traditional forum again. Really, I promise. Seriously. And don't you come near me with no garden tools, neither.

:p

"Yes, ma'am. I've killed Doyle Hargraves with a lawnmower blade. Yes, ma'am, I'm right sure of it. I hit him two good whacks in the head with it. That second one just plum near cut his head in two... It's a lil' ol' white house on the corner of Vine Street and some other street. There's a pick-up truck out front that says "Doyle Hargraves Construction" on it. Doyle said besides sending the police, you might wanna send an ambulance or a "hearst". I'll be sitting here waiting on ye."

I like the new forum format. Colorful and feature rich. Kinda tough to navigate at first because it's not what I'm used to, but, after a while of using it it'll be just fine. Thanks to Spark (and Mods) for staying on top of updates and making this a great place to play.:thumbup:

Not good for me, I had to use a friends computer to post this or see anything.:mad::mad:
So unless something happens (like I get a real puter) I'm saying "good bye"
That's what happens when you have out dated antiquated crap!:foot:

Dave, I'm not wild about the changes (yet) myself, but I sure hope you find a way to work it out and stay.

Elliott, yer scarin' me man. You know that show a little too well. (What traditional pocketknife would Karl carry?)

Actually, I can quote as many lines from Silence of the Lambs as you can from Slingblade. :D

Dude, I couldn't quote that...I looked it up!

The movie is set in Arkansas; Billy Bob Thornton is from Arkansas. I'd have to go with the "Arkansas Hunter". (Some people call it a sling blade, I call it a Kaiser blade...;))

There were these two fellars standin' on a bridge, a-goin' to the bathroom. One feller said, "The water's cold" and the other feller said, "The water's deep". I believe one fella come from Arkansas. Get it?

That was a funny scene. My wife and I both really like that movie a lot. (And man, Dwight Yoakam really played the villain to a "t".)

Dwight Yoakam?! Are you serious? That never occurred to me. Or I'm old & just forgot.

Dang, for a singer turned actor, he sure did a good job as a villain.

Our friend Railsplitter was kind enough to gift me the below knife and so here is a photo shoot of it. The music is also by one of our own LKJW

Enjoy

Hey Dave,

Spark has asked people to be patient with the changes...he's working out the bugs for people and if you have any specific concerns you can post them in the tech issues sub-forum so he can address them. He made a large text theme for the people who found it hard to read and has addressed issues with people utilizing ipads for browsing.

Don't forget, if you have a hard time reading, use the Large Print style, and if you have specific issues BRING THEM UP TO ME in the Tech Support forum
