I can't see the second picture?

My wife just returned from her Hawaiian vacation, and took this picture of a sunset from the beach outside the Waikoloa Beach Hilton, just north of Kona on the Big Island.

Splendid colors Pertinux!

Speaking of protest, what's up with the Academie Francaise? How is having 2 correct spellings for each of 2400 words going to make it easier to learn French?
Je suis circonflexe! (not likely to be spelled right).
 :D
Won't be a great concern for all those whose vocabulary don't excess 300 word (and there's a few!).
For instance that acccent ^ replaced the "s" in ye olde French and was the result of a reform of French dating of the 17thcentury I think. The s was not pronounced.
But today this reform is just levelling by the bottom...instead of teaching seriously.
Some years ago they decided to have at least 80% with a diplom after grammar school. They achieve this in lowering the level. How do you spell demagogy ? :D
The result will be that when people shall come for a job, those with the best (i.e. old fashioned) grammar will get more chances. Like before.

I think history is fundamental and helps to understand a lot of things.
BTW I'm unsure that this reform wil be taken for granted by Belgians, Swiss and others.

Some stunning sunsets there-:)
If you get a chance-have a listen to the album The Who By Numbers- there's a song called "Blue Red and Grey". about sunsets.

Haha what's wrong with Nattō, highly nutritious and equally delicious :D

Just kidding, to someone who isn't familiar with the consistency of many asian foods なっとう has a unique feel and texture to it. (bogie like ;)
The same goes for many of our foods/ways we prepare fermented foods and what parts of an animal we eat. Waste not, want not~

I spent a lot of time in Taiwan in the early 90s and I ate many unusual items, seemed anyone who owned a stainless kettle with a fire under had a restaurant on the side of the road. Traffic bein' what it was back then I was was taste testin' my way to the Hsinchu Science and Industrial Park. :) We ate many things late at night after work. ;)

This kind of behavior suggests some kind of disorder.

It is one thing to "make do" and save a few bucks, but, when people who can afford it, mooch off of others to facilitate their "frugality", that crosses the line.

Mom and her BF ate potatoes rice and beans for 2 years to pay off the $350,000 15 year morgatge they owed on the salvage yard in 2 years. She recycles birthday and Xmas cards, we mail them back and she puts an updated redated letter inside sends them to us and we send them back in January. :) She made a Junkyard Christmas tree every year she had the yard and continued with my daughter till she moved to CO 10-15 years ago. It was made of old oil cans, hubcaps, hood ornaments. Ignition/spark plug wires for garland and spark plugs for candles. :) Used to say her and her BF were the only people I knew who could rub two nickles together and squeeze out a $50. ;)
