"Carl's Lounge" (Off-Topic Discussion, Traditional Knife "Tales & Vignettes")

I think this forum is magic. The other day I posted about my hopelessly lost yellow scales Case trapper and then presto bingo change-o I found the thing! Thank you, oh mighty Bladeforums missing knife great spirit.

Did anyone else catch Swamp People on History last night? Troy Landry had a new cast member, Liz, on his boat helping out. At one point she was cutting something from a tree branch. Troy got on her nerves and she threatened to throw her knife at him (jokingly). It looked like she held up a Case Folding Hunter in Red Bone. Looked like a single blade too.

If History puts the full episode up on their website I''ll try to get a screen shot. It isn't up yet but last weeks is.

Thanks Luciano. A peaceful, joyous weekend to all!

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.....

LEST WE FORGET

It's ANZAC day here in Australia, my granddad who is the big reason I'm so into folding knives as I am, enlisted and served valiantly to the end of the war in New Guinea. He was a real man and I hope to be even half the man he was before I kick the old bucket, ANZAC day really gets me thinking of him and the war stories and experiences he only told me and my brother (stories my grandmother never heard). I miss the charisma only he had, any other Australians on the forum have a good day.

Rupestris, I had the same reaction when I saw Liz's knife--I have one just like it. Great show, my family watches it regularly. In fact, it's the only thing we can all agree on!

Happy Easter to all.

Robert B, highest regards on ANZAC Day, I salute you and your grandfather!

We lost another good guy.

Rhett Stidham passed away on the 23rd. One of the types that if you met him and got to know him a little you had respect for him. He was always going out of his way to help collectors.

WHIIINNNEEE Now along with having been layed off the fuel pump on my car went out. :(

Bummer! I don't work on cars, but being laid off has given me time to get my bikes looking and running nice!
