Wow, that is a long time.
You're like the Akashic records, Sarah.

I get that a lot.

Actually, I had to look up "Akashic." :o

There is an art to successful searching, and sometimes skill as well. Bladeforums' search functions are idiosyncratic at best, broken at worst (which has become commonplace since recent site/server issues and attempted fixes-- pages, subforums, and threads no longer index properly, leading to maddeningly frustrating Search fails).

As always, the very best way to find something here is to have seen it before, to have a starting point of knowing that it's here somewhere! In this instance, I remembered reading about the startling developments regarding a once-upstanding member of our online community, and recognized the thread title in my search results.

Thanks, all.

Happy b'day, Frank. I'm a couple of months ahead of you, you old fart! (Medicare cards not too far away now.)

They say the last stage before "sage" is "old fart".
Oh Cool! I'm almost a sage!

Is that a Manchester, Sarah? Cute pup!

Thanks for the kind words about my wee doggit, all. Her very present Presence is good for me in so many ways....

"Manchester"-- well, I'll be: this is the first I've heard that of breed, let alone in connection with her. Having googled "Manchester terrier," I can see the possibility!

She's a rescue, so nothing is for sure, but I believe Chihuahua/MinPin mix is still the most likely, with a sneak strain of dachshund. [After she was rescued from Georgia, a certain unfortunate encounter with a non-neutered purebred chihuahua resulted in her becoming a baby momma to a litter of pups-- four tiny chihuahua males, and one massive dachshund daughter...!] So, "Chipin" is the most understandable when speaking to most, but I throw out a "chidoxpin" every now and then. :D

And, as it turns out: High-maintenance, stubborn, smartsmart, deeply unsharing, selective, fiercely loving (and surprisingly generous towards) those who make the cut.

But enough about me; here's my dog, again:

I looked Akashic up too, to make sure I spelled it right. Not a word one uses every day.

My son gave us some deer meat including a nice roast so it being a cold rainy day this morning my wife said if I would cube the roast she would make a pot of stew. So as I had a peanut in my pocket I set in cutting up the roast. Now as useful as a peanut is I don't recommend it for butchering duty. However it did complete the task and Ann slow cooked the stew all day and made biscuit cake which is a huge biscuit made in a 1/4 cake pan just break off what you want. Delicious and I am stuffed.

Me and my big mouth.

No way. Are they real?

Tongue in cheek, but yes they are! When I did an image search, I was amazed to find how widespread they seem to be! :D

And if the Zombie Apocalypse comes while you're in the middle of opening your prezzies, you've got half a chance of having it off with them!* :D

* - Please read that as meaning that you have half a chance of hanging onto said gifts!
