Carolina Reaper (CR35)

On this day, 4/20, and in honor of this thread's namesake, I think it fitting to share footage of an experiment performed by one of humanity's brightest researchers.

May God have mercy on his lungs.
Chemical burns of the lungs, is a thing (as is the risk of inflammation from any kind of irritant). I'm not sure what effect capsaicin would have, but I'm certainly not stupid enough to FAFO.

On second thought, wouldn't it be tantamount to breathing pepper spray? I've done that before. It was unpleasant but didn't have any lasting effects.
Burning things, can change them. Size of the particles and how deeply you inhale them into the pulmonary tract, are also factors.

Most folks aren't deliberately inhaling deeply.
